Volunteers for Veterans Foundation was trying to help a veteran get her transmission fixed on a car she had bought without knowing the transmission was a problem. We had taken her to a few shops, and all they wanted to do was replace the transmission, not repair it. Our quotes were between $4000 and $6000. Which I understand is about the cost of a used or new transmission. We took the car To Mike at Benson's transmission. He could fix the repair instead of replacing it, knowing why and what we were doing. Over the years, Benson Transmission has greatly supported VFVF and the Veterans' community.

GOOD HONEST PEOPLE!Benson's was recommended to me by my Bro in-law. I had broke my transmission drain plug collar for my daughter's 2013 Civic and all the other shops around town told me the only way to fix it was to replace the whole transmission. Benson's helped me out and said let's see what we can do to help you out. And they did they fixed my transmission plug and was a lifesaver for me. They charged me a fair price and I am happy. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND BENSONS TRANSMISSION THEY ARE GOOD AND HONEST!

I just had my transmission done on my 2017 Honda Civic LX about 3 weeks ago and the car runs great. Once the job was completed I went to pickup the vechile. Only thing I noticed was my shift knob was a bit loose and went back they took care of the issues in less than 5 minutes. I would highly recommend coming here as mentioned by someone else every situation is different which is why I will not put the amount paid but it was way better than what AAMCO quoted me for the same job. Thanks to Mike and Peter and the rest of the guys at the shop for taking care of my vechile. Most reputable shop and guys who stand behind their work. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I will not give specifics because every situation is different. With that said, I just had to get a transmission rebuild for my 17 Silverado. I took it to Benson's because a good friend of mine takes his vehicles there. I was not disappointed in this decision. I paid what I thought was a fair price for the rebuild (they dropped the tranny and performed the work and reinstalled it). They also got the job done very quickly and was friendly the entire way through. 5 stars on the entire process. I don't ever write reviews but felt like I needed to. It is hard enough finding a shop that you can trust. I wrote this review for those people. I hope my words help you make the right decision in trusting Benson's with your trans work.

This place is trust worthy i took my 05 escalade and 05 tahoe there like 4yrs ago and they both still run like champs came here all the way frm Longbeach this place was recomended by a family member and would return to this place in the future...

Mike will take care of you. I took my car to AAMCO where they wanted to charge me $6000 for a rebuild.Of my transmission. I thought that was very expensive and I called Bensons and they recommended I take my car out of AAMCO and bring it to them and they definitely took care of me.

These guys are awesome! Took my 2018 Toyota Tacoma into Benson's after experiencing a shudder on the torque converter/transmission. Took it to the dealership prior to calling Benson's for a diagnosis and they wanted to charge me to replace the entire transmission and torque converter $6,000K+. Called up Benson's and spoke to Mike. Had me bring it in at no charge to test drive it. One of his mechanics test drove the truck with me and recommended a full transmission service. Dropped it off and was done the same day within a few hours. Now truck has no shudder and all gears are shifting perfectly! Mike and his crew definitely saved me a lot of money. Price to service my transmission was more than reasonable. Thank you Mike and crew for the honesty and fixing my issue, will definitely be bringing my business and any family, friends over to his shop!
