My wife and I dropped our 11 year old Golden Retriever ( Sundance) off at the VCA, Big Bear was immediately impressed by " Jennifer " , the very professional lady in charge on Monday at 8:00 am on our way out of town. I was impressed on on her kindness and caring with our older dog. Jennifer explained all the options available for our dog, food and pick up information so there was no confusion as to what to expect. We picked up our Sundance on Wednesday late afternoon and were greeted by a very welcoming Jennifer who called for Sundance, coming out all relaxed after a couple of days of Play Day's. Again Jennifer went over all the details with me for final check as well as at the same time handling multiple other customers coming in for their Precious pets and by the way new everyone's pet 7 dogs to be exact, incredible! I have retired after 43 years in the customer service industry and have never witnessed someone of this great caliber in person. Jennifer is a real asset to VCA and definitely a keeper in my view and hopefully is recognized often by the facility manager or others that know the importance of CaringSuperior Customer Servive

We just adopted 3 kittens went in to buy the works no one greeted us when we walked in they saw us but went into a doorway be hind the counter we walked around for awhile through all the isles and only found cat food nothing else for cats or kittens and in the meantime no one asked us if we needed any help so we just walked out and we went to a local fed store and got all that we needed with a greeting and a smile. I will not go back there again

This place was Great ! I was here for the weekend , I needed my Bulldog groomed and I'm picky who my dogs are left with , they met my expectations! Good care and great grooming !! Definitely recommend them !

The pet store located next to VCA Lakeside is great! Prices have been reduced, services and supplies have been expanded and they are open seven days a week from 9-6p (closed for lunch from 12-1p).
