I'll start by saying that before posting this review, I did try to get in touch with the lab, which is mission impossible. I'm leaving a neutral rating because there are clearly cases of false negative tests. But what happened with my family makes me seriously question the integrity of the testing kits and/or procedures. 1 member of my family recently tested positive for Covid-19 on a rapid test. Same day, they went to confirm with a PCR test at the UDLAB. The results came back quickly (under 24 hours as promised) and the test was negative. Immediately upon receiving the negative result, the family member used another rapid test and again tested positive (in addition to many Covid-like symptoms and another positive rapid the following day). I genuinely thought it was a fluke and took the rest of my family get tested at UDLAB. While waiting on our results, I also performed rapid tests for us all and one other person tested positive. To my surprise, all 3 of our PCR tests came back within only 5 hours (on a Sunday) and were negative. Suspicious of the fast turnaround and another negative test, I then took the positive person for a repeat PCR test at Walgreens drive-thru, which as I expected came back positive. I don't know what's going at this lab, but I will not be using them again. I hope they are not running an insurance scam, but it surely feels like it. Do not dismiss your positive rapid test if you test negative here. Do a repeat test elsewhere or just go elsewhere to begin with.

This place is clearly a scam. I also received the phone call from a collection agency about a bill from 2018 (4 years ago!) for lab work. My first time calling them they hung up on me. Second time calling I did talk to someone and she states they sent out 13 notices to my former and current address. Funny thing is I've never received any of those 13 notices. If you are asked to get lab work at a Dr. office and they do the work in-office, find out if UDL is the company doing it and ask to take your test to some other place like LabCorp. They aren't perfect but I always get prompt billing via the mail and a website that works properly where I can pay my bill quickly. I'm going to have to pay this bill because otherwise it will affect my credit. I'm not sure it's worth my time to fight it.

I'm here to connect with other people going through some sort of billing/collections scam with Universal Diagnostic Laboratories. I am not convinced this lab is even a real business based on what's going on. I started receiving threatening calls from a woman in Africa who claims to be working with "United Legal" collections agency on behalf of UDL. This business is not accredited with the BBB and has numerous online complaints and terrible reviews--just like UDL. The woman who called me from Africa claimed she is calling to collect payment for an alleged bill from UDL from *4 years ago.* Red flag. If I receive a bill, I pay it, so I knew right away something was very off. I would have just hung up, but this "collections agency" had an alarming amount of my private medical information that they were given by UDL, and were aggressively threatening my credit despite the fact that they had no bill to show me and UDL has not sent me a bill, either. I called the doctor's office that they claim sent lab work to UDL, and was told by the receptionist they're receiving tons of calls from people about this, that the collections company is a fraud and UDL likely is, too, and confirmed I don't owe anything. It seems UDL is deliberately going after people in their system from several years back, conveniently after records have been destroyed, hoping they will panic and pay whatever they're told whether they owe it or not. If there's a bill, show us the bill? What's the problem? UDL is the problem. I will make sure I never see a doctor that contracts this shady lab. I called UDL directly and not only did their billing department NOT provide any information, much less show me a bill, but Sara Curry hung up on me 2 days in a row. Just like another reviewer here said, instead of producing the alleged bill, she put me on hold and then hung up on me. A pattern. Why can't they answer questions? Is there a bill or not? Are you working with this "collections agency" or not? I cannot get anyone at UDL to explain what's going on, and the owner, Sheila Busheri, does not answer calls, and has been unresponsive to my voicemail and 2 emails this week. Based on this, as well as the lab's terrible reviews, I'm really concerned that they have access to any private medical information and are choosing to conduct a scam like this. They are working with an obviously illegitimate agency that's not accredited, and are giving out private medical info to people in Africa, who then harass us on a daily business about an alleged "bill" they claim we owe from years ago, but don't have to show us. Absolutely unacceptable, with no regard for ethics, privacy, or patients. What a coincidence that none of us dealing with this ever received these alleged bills from UDL! Well, I'll get to the bottom of it. Whatever is going on is bizarre, unprofessional, and possibly illegal. Please contact me if you are another one of the people receiving these calls.

I received a call from a collector that I have an unpaid bill of $155 from UDL for 5 years ago. I've never received a bill from UDL and I never received service directly from them. At the date they mentioned, I did a lab work with Elite medical center (now Carbon Health) at Mountain View, CA which probably was working with UDL. The collector gave me UDL number and a claim number, but said UDL is probably very busy since they have a lot of collection claims from them (which means this is how UDL operates). I called UDL and paid them with my HSA card. They sent me a receipt which didn't include any explanation of benefit or itemized service. Reading the other reviews, I think it was just easier to pay them rather than to fight them to prove that I already paid for the service. I never got a service from them, so they shouldn't bill me in the first place, let alone send it to collector without notifying me. This is a borderline fraudulent activity.

Went for a covid test late December. No results provided. No way to contact by phone (no answer, all voicemail full). No responses to email. Do not go here. System requires at least a 1-star before allowing me to post a review. Otherwise negative stars.

I just started using this lab for the Covid testing for my kids' school. They are very well organized. Turnaround time is less than 24h and some weeks even sooner than this time. This test is free as my insurance does cover the fee. Recommend it definitely!

Very friendly staff. Made an appointment online for my whole family and had everyone's emailed results the next morning. They also do testing for my kids school. Very organized and efficient. My kids have told me how nice the testers are.

Horrible place, don't waste time going here! U won't get your results in the time they estimated. You have to go in and pick them up (they do not call/ email as they should). The workers are unprofessional and inefficiently use their time running around and asking questions to other employees. They never have answers to your questions.

I'm fortunate to have had a negative covid test! My friend, who's a nurse, turned me on to UDL. You make an appointment online, answer several questions regarding insurance, etc. You'll then receive an email confirmation of your test date, and instructions. My appointment was for Tuesday morning. A nurse will hand you a clipboard, along with the test kit in a zip lock bag. He/she will give you instructions, and it's easy peasy. You choose to either do a nose, or mouth test. When you're done with your test, you hand it to the nurse, and they'll fold the paper you filled out on the clipboard and insert it with the test in the zip lock bag. I received my test results yesterday afternoon, by 3:30 pm--two days for the results. : ) I didn't take photos, because the line moved pretty quickly for a covid test site.

This lab is using a covid test booking site for Culver City, and charging patients, medical insurance, and the CARES act. They make false claims that the test will be returned in a short timespan. They do not answer the phone, or respond to email. I was informed on the website and by my appointment confirmation that my result would be returned that day, it is now 4 days later and they are not responding to calls, or email. This puts patients at risk with Covid issues, and is both a money and medical insurance scam. Not to mention they advertise you will quickly receive a travel document? Nope, forget that one. Avoid: covid19testingculvercity.com

DO NOT GO HERE. If I could give 0 stars I would. I got tested here for covid on Monday and it's now Thursday and still no result! They told me it would take 24-48 hours to get my results and still nothing. Do not waste your time sitting in this line. I've called a million times but there's no one to answer the phone lines. Absolutely ridiculous!

Avoid this place for covid testing. I came here because of a recommendation and because they claimed that I would have results in 24 hours. It's been 2 days, maybe more, because not only have they not emailed me my results, they have ASOLUTELY NO ONE on the phone lines to answer the calls just to check up on your results. The website is even worse because of the two options to view your results and they are both terrible. One option is to fax a request form for your results and another is to register yourself online to see your results because if they don't have you registered in your system they won't show you squat. They aren't consistent at all and it sad. Don't say 24 hours if you aren't going to live up to that statement or even care about your clients at all.

This place is a joke. It was recommended to us by my kids' school to do covid tests. We made an appointment online and provided all the info requested, and despite that, we had to give all the info again on paper when we went there (they were asking everyone to do the same), which was adding significant delays. One day and a half later, nobody has texted, or emailed. I'm trying to call but their phone is not working. I try to register online and get the results from their website, but the user registration is not working. When I call again another number I found online, I spoke to someone and I was told that the hand-written emails were copied incorrectly into their system. I can't imagine how many other folks don't get their results due to this idiotic setup that ignores the info provided online.

This place is a joke. Kids Took a Covid test to get back to school 3 days ago. They said 24 hours. It has been over 72. There is no one answering phones. They aren't sending results out. What a complete scam
