So they came to inglewood yesterday planted some trees left a mess behind dirty chunks all over the side walk and street. Broke my spinkler by hanging out in front of my door. Terrible.

Great park at the top of Coldwater. Nice quiet oasis in the middle of the city. They host events, such as music or art so check before you go. It's a great location to enjoy a concert.

Visited TreePeople for the first time after hearing about it from some friends. The vibe of the place is so grounding, reminding us of the importance of nature and conservation in the midst of our hectic lives. Had the chance to join one of their community tree planting events, and it was such a fulfilling experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking to reconnect with nature and make a difference.

Great place to go hiking. Small easy for those accustom to long 2-3hr hikes, not too heavy, gets your blood flowing. Beautiful views and great walk for your dog to keep them in tip top shape ??

The park is absolutely beautiful and very well maintained… a little too well maintained actually. The paths are all covered in wood chips, which is probably great for reducing mud and creating an easy surface for humans to walk on, but is not very great for our four-legged friends. The wood chips are EXTREMELY sharp and tiny pieces could easy cause splinters in your pup’s paws or possibly even bigger cuts (probably a problem for children as well). I brought my very well behaved and on-leash mini-goldendoodle here yesterday for maybe a 30-minute stroll around the main paths closest to the parking area - when we got back to the car I found that his entire underside from his paws up to his tummy was absolutely covered in tiny little wood splinters. They had become deeply entrenched in his curls and had burrowed so far in that they were incredibly difficult to remove. I actually just had to bring him to the groomer this morning because there were too many to deal with on my own. Mind you we never went off trail and it’s not like he was rolling around in the wood chips… they just automatically got pushed up into his fur.Point is - if you’re bringing your pup to this park, beware of the evil wood chips.

If you approach just right, with kindness in your heart, the little people in the trees might just make themselves known to you. Magic lives here. IYKYK. Thank you to the stewards of the land.

"Trees need people. People need trees." That's their mantra.TreePeople is my go to hiking spot. There are a few different paths but none are life shattering, they're all pretty chill. And of course beautiful views looking out from the Santa Monica Mountains over Coldwater Canyon.A couple of special things about TreePeople -~They keep the space clean and managed by an amazing volunteer group. Sometimes you'll see them running programs for children or other times just tackling cleaning the area or tending to things in the greenhouse.~They have a fancy schmancy vending machine with fun drinks (not pop!) but it's broken half the time I try to use it, lol.~"TreePeople owns, manages, and conserves is on the ancestral lands of the Tongva, Chumash, and Tataviam people, the original stewards of this land." That's a direct quote from their website.Keep in mind -~Small parking lot but I haven't had an issue ever getting a spot. Sometimes it's the last spot in the lot though!~open daily from 630am until dusk~dogs are allowed on the paths~Trail maps found here: treepeople.org/wp-conten…

This is a good stop if you are looking to walk around in nature. Not the type of place for a picnic, more dry trails. But I do need to comment on the parking lot. It's is FULL of speed bumps. I mean an extreme amount! I suffered a head injury in my youth, and the 8 bumps just to park hurt me too bad to drive into this location. Please! I understand safety and the need for speed bumps, but this is INSANE!!!!!
