42220 Washington St, Bermuda DunesMy girlfirends cat didnt come home one night and was found outside the house laying in the dirt covered in ants the next morning. He couldnt walk on his front legs at all. We thought he was in a fight or got hit by a car but so we went to the Vet and after $500 they couldnt provide any answers as to what was wrong(no marks or scratches anywhere) so they gave us painkillers and anti-inflammatory meds and said call if he doesnt get better.
After several days of no improvment we were starting to think the worst. He still couldnt use his 2 front legs.
I went to Pet Oasis where I have been going for almost a decade to buy some dog treats and told Nicola all about the situation. She informed me about poisonous lizards and insects out here and that if the cat injested poison - activated black charcoal might help absorb the posion.
I bought some activated charcoal tablets at the walgreens for $20 and the mixed with his food. The very next day the cat is walking on all 4's! Still tentative but he is walking!
