“I had excellent service at East Bay Mufflers. My catalytic converter was stolen and my dealership was going to charge me quite a bit more to have it replaced. Moises was very nice. He gave me pricing on the phone ahead of time and there was no change in the cost when I got my car back after about 5 hours. “I had this slow leak in one of my tires for a few days. When I noticed it I had took a pump with me to keep pumping it up until Friday when I was off work to get it fixed. I needed the tire repaired on Friday, because I was leaving town over the weekend. I tried a couple shops in the area, some of which I had been a customer at over the past many years. None could do it right then, everyone was busy or understaffed. Come back tomorrow, later today, etc. That happens, but it's also just a slow leak, and I need help right now.
Finally I ended up at this place. They took the tire off, found the tiny little piece of metal, pulled it out, plugged it, put the tire back on, I paid, and I was good to go for the weekend. Probably less than 15 min. Now that is awesome service. Definitely coming back as needed.”

“Very rarely we come across car mechanics with a good blend of empathy, knowledge delivery and business acumen. I am new to California and the following are my experiences:
1. Have done full synthetic oil change. Best and quick service. Most decent cost in the East Bay. No gimmicks.
2. Had an issue with braking, he explained in details as to what happened. He showed how the tires have bumps and how the brake pads have met the metal rotors which is causing this issue. Quoted and delivered the best price possible.
3. Battery died and he showed up with jump starter and advised thoroughly on how to change battery by myself. He didn’t charge and politely said, emergencies do happen.”

“I came back to Kwicksilver to fix another bent wheel with my newer Tesla Model 3 Performance, which are notorious for bent wheels and bubbled tires due to extremely low profile sidewalls. Cesar took care of me again and got me back on the road. He also helped me swap in a newer tire on the opposite side to keep the tread wear even and I only needed to wait another 15 minutes. Absolutely recommend this shop as the prices are reasonable and Cesar is upfront about repairs and very accommodating with additional requests.”

“Amazing service and super fast!. Seriously, I had all 4 tires done same day in about 20 minutes. Premium tires very reasonable prices (michelin pilot sport all season). Tires were also manufactured about a month ago (so they weren't in a warehouse for a year) . I'm tired of waiting weeks for a big box store appointment, then waiting hours for installation. They offer free rotation and tire repair. Can't recommend highly enough!”

“Tire plugs are usually $10-15 ANYWHERE! $25-30 is a bit inflated. Also, cash only- a detail the guy could have told me on the phone when letting me know they were open and to come on over. Other than that... Quick, easy, and I didn't need two new tires. Great.”

“Welded my cracked rims. Wow. Only place that gave me same day service for not only one rim but two! Unfortunately, pot holes are getting worse here in the Bay Area. This is insane. About 4 months ago another one of my rims where cracked and I just purchased a new one. These guys are great! Hopefully won't see you soon!”

“Now, this isn't a paid advert or favors of any sort. Here's just a sincere testimony from my experience at G and C Auto-body, specifically at the Martin Luther King Jr way, Oakland location.
I must commend how organized they are, their professionalism and compassion in fixing cars. I initially went to another Auto-body shop (Name withheld out of respect) in Oakland where I was given a quote that was larger than life as compared to the actual cost of fixing the small dent/functional problem my car had at the time but when I came to G and C at this particular location, the problem was fixed better, faster and way cheaper as compared to the first place I went to. The difference was very clear, even to a blind person.
I hereby recommend G and C Auto-body to everyone, even my enemy (Just incase I have any that I am unaware of). They will get your car back to a motorable condition and you/your insurance will be happy to pay the realistic cost.
