Understaffed. Impossible to reach by phone and prescription orders go unfilled for weeks for unknown reasons

The pharmacy denied filling pain meds that my surgeon ordered as a part of their practice's standard pre-op process. When I followed up with my surgeon to indicate they would need re-order with diagnosis, they were confused by the pharmacy's decision as this wasn't a requirement they were familiar with.
Another prescription ordered by the same surgeon wasn't filled or recorded at all in their system.
While attempting to resolve these two missing orders, the pharmacist/pharmacy tech I interacted with responded in a condescending manner and didn't actively listen to me when I tried to provide information to help contextualize the situation. I was picking up other prescriptions as well and needed to determine what was missing and why.

I am Type one diabetic and this Walgreens Pharmacy is my absolute favorite! They have consistently gone above and beyond to fulfill my medical needs. Recently, I went out of town for a month and they were super attentive and effective at making sure I had all of my prescriptions filled. They are easy to get a hold of on the phone. They also have the shortest lines out of any of the Walgreens I have visited in Oakland / Berkeley. Thank you very much to the Walgreens Gilman Pharmacy team.

Sucks, they lose prescriptions, only could fill half, had to wait even after email saying it was ready.

This is the worst pharmacy. I literally came 5 times and still don’t have my prescription. The people who work there are completely incompetent. Don’t have your prescriptions sent here.

The pharmacy denied me my pain meds after brain surgery ... told me my insurance won't cover it cause it's to high a dosage ... My insurance said it's covered no problem the pharmacist just does not want to give it to me!!! She's like oh you took this medication back in June yeah for a diffrent surgery for only a few days. It's a crime to have multiple surgerys In a year apparently !!

In an era where quick, in-and-out shopping is often preferred, the lack of this feature adds to the inconvenience, especially during busy periods.

Jesus this pharmacy has really gone down hill post pandemic. Staff is rude as can be. My MD sent my prescription this morning (confirmed at the office before I left) and I got to the pharmacy at 5:30 - 30 minutes before it closed - and was told by the girl at the counter - Not Ready! And she snapped that rude as heck. I see why all the old staff has left this place and we only get meds here in an emergency. This place sucks

Worst pharmacy service ever. Went to pick up my prescription and they were over half half an hour late opening up. I did call at one point and they left me on hold for 45 minutes and then I was disconnected Then to top it off they could not find my prescription . After of several back-and-forth with my doctors office it was obvious that it was Walgreens fault and not my doctors. Took my prescription over to CVS and they filled it promptly .

I DO NOT recommend coming to this Walgreens for a prescription fill/refill. There is so many people that come here and the pharmacy is not organized at all. If you read my reviews, you know that I only like to do positive reviews but the service has been really bad!! We waited an hour and they told us it would be 10 minutes, after 35 minutes, we walked up and the guy said, it is still not ready. Finally after an hour I walked up and asked if it was going to be any longer, if so we could come back and he said that they didn't realize that we were waiting And they didn't fill our prescription so then we had to wait, another 5 minutes he said....the guy at the counter laughed. 30 minutes later we are still waiting. This will be our last time we fill our dads prescriptions here!

This is a black hole of customer service. The store is ridiculously understaffed. The lines are long, the existing staff is supremely unhelpful. After two weeks I am still trying unsuccessfully to transfer my prescriptions to another pharmacy.

I came last week Thursday to refill my prescription, they said it would be ready Tuesday by 5pm. I came back Tuesday to find out it's delayed. The pharmacy said they will call me when it's ready but should be good to go by Wednesday. It is now Friday and I have no prescription. I called and the African woman in the pharmacy quickly answered and put me on hold with out asking me what I needed. I called the store and they walked back to the pharmacy and told them to pick up the phone. The Mexican woman answered the phone and told me that my prescription was out of order and they don't know when they would get it back in. She did not care, she did not try to accommodate me, they did not tell me I can transfer my prescription to another store, they did not calls other store to check if they had it. I am out of medication which is dangerous for me and my condition. I am switching pharmacy because they do not care, they do not pick up the phone and they hang up on you.
