The manager and staff at the store went above and beyond to help us with a same-day urgent printing for the wake of a dear friend of mine. We had tried to get it done with four other printing stores in Berkeley and North Oakland prior to going to the Berkeley gourmet ghetto UPS location, and none of them were able and/or willing to help. There were some technological challenges both getting the file to the store’s computers, and in terms of the specs for the printing, and the manager and staff took all the necessary time and found creative solutions to work them all out. It made a huge difference to my friend’s family to have the beautiful booklet to be able to treasure, and to pass out at the wake itself.

I have had nothing but a GREAT experience with the folks running this UPS Store. I instantly get notices when packages arrive. They signed for me when a consulate mailed back my passport with a visa in it. They provide notary service. AND they are all extremely friendly each and every time I go in and then handle my package pickup very quickly. I highly recommend their service. In my case I was staying in an Airbnb for a year and the mail box at the Airbnb was really not workable and also received many packages from mail order. Whatever your needs, I think the folks here will do their best to provide you with great service.

Let me start by saying that the environment of this store is very good. It’s so clean and the workers were so welcoming. I was helped by this lady. She made my experience great. I needed help with my amazon return and I had never done this before so I was very confused with the whole process but Channi was really warm and she guided me with every process and made my whole experience very smooth and easy. I would definitely be coming back to this exact location. Thank you for the best service keep up the good work!!!!

Vinay was the best!!! He kept the store open late, helped me find the cheapest option to ship something to Sweden and saved me $140! True customer service and I will go to his store whenever I need shipping!

I have to review this UPS store because they are wonderful now! They have recently changed ownership and WOW what a difference. They now are well staffed and the Manager has been present every time I’ve gone in. They now have reliable notary services and I recommend them to everyone in need.

Absolutely ridiculous experience. My wife tried to drop off a Nike shoe return and they said it couldn't be in the shoe box, Nike policy. Had to be in a bag or a box but we could buy it from them for 7 dollars. We live down the street so walked back to get a bag and returned. The lady then proceeded to tell her that the bag was not sufficient so we returned home to get a Amazon box. They then claimed that the tape job was not good enough and it would cost 5 dollars to do that. At this point, it was clear they were just trying to make money from us. I then walked down the street to a UPS TRUCK, and the driver gave us the tape for free. He said that UPS store are new owners and they were ripping us off. He even told us to post this review, and he's from the same organization. I came back to the store and the owner, Rao Vinay (?) refused us service at that point. Must be really hurting for business.Take your business elsewhere; dime a dozen. There are a lot of UPS stores around.Additionally, if you see recent positive reviews on here, they are most likely fake. Take a look at their most recent yelp reviews; it tells a different story.UPDATE: Went down to the location on 2342 Shattuck in downtown Berkeley and they took it without question. I asked them to inspect it and they said they've taken boxes in way worse condition and what this location was doing was ridiculous. See picture on scale for confirmation.Update 2: This was bad enough of an experience that we contacted UPS Headquarters and filed with them. They will be reaching out to you.

Charging $5 for printing 1 black and white page is highway robbery. There is a copy center 50 feet away that charges $.20They also charge $5 to tape your package which is insane given how other UPS stores don’t charge this. 2 stars instead of 1 since she didn’t charge me this time

I usually never write reviews. This is probably my second review in my entire life. I just felt like writing one about my recent but not so recent experience at this UPS. I usually visit the UPS at San Pablo as it's closer to my place, but I guess it was around 2 weeks back that I was around Berkeley and had to do some returns, so I stepped into this location. As soon as I stepped up the stairs outside, I could really see a long line. I didn't have anything to do and therefore thought to wait in that line. We all know how the UPS services really are, especially the one where I go. They are not great, so I didn't have much expectation; I just wanted to return my stuff. There was only one girl with glasses working and running around. She was moving here and there. I guess seeing her working alone, people were patient with her. She greeted me with a huge smile as soon as it was my turn and even apologized for the waiting time. She was really sweet, and I felt bad for her. After that, I was having a hard time printing out my return label, but with her help, I was able to find it and print it. I never had this much kindness at UPS; she was really welcoming. Therefore,I just want to let the owner know she is doing a great job, but it would be great if you could have an extra person (another employee) to help her. It's too much for her and for us customers to wait forever to run small errands.

Ever since they changed owner about a week ago, the service of the team and the owner went from 2 to max stars, wish I could put more.I recently had a shipment get sent back across the coast because of corporate shipping problems and I could not fly back to arrange a reshipment across the coast.I explained my problems to the staff and owner. They were quick with their responses and followed up asap throughout the process. They dealt with corporate UPS on my behalf for reimbursement and repackaged my stuff for me to send off all through a few calls!Once again, this was the best service and care I have received from not just a UPS store but pretty much all customer centric stores! Would definitely send my shipment from here again if I came back to Berkeley!

Chandani at the UPS Store provided excellent service. She was professional, efficient, and friendly. Her knowledge and attention to detail made my transaction smooth and hassle-free. Use a different UPS store. I've encountered very rude staff every time I've come in here. At this point it's worth driving across town or to Oakland to use a different location.

Came here today with an appointment to have a live scan. Staff was not eager to help me, store was empty. When the employee came to do my fingerprints he had to repeatedly do them and they did not take. He must have done them 8-10 times with no success. Two other women employees were standing by witnessing that he had a problem. No body offered to help. Finally I asked if someone could help him. The possible manager came over, did a final step that the previous employee did know how to do, and it worked. Then the possible manager said something about a picture. I asked her to explain and she was vague and continued to be unhelpful. I then said thank you for ignoring me and she said, you're welcome.If there indeed is someone who manages this store, please let me know how to contact you.
