Honestly - I have been using this store for years as well as the FedEx location across the street. I have never had a problem - always been treated fairly and quickly and recently added a box service. They are responsive and when they make a mistake they correct it.
So not sure what all the negative reviews are for but I have not had issues and plan to use this store for years to come.

Go to the location on Telegraph, not this one. I needed to borrow some tape to closeup my box and they charged me $2 for a couple inches worth, laughably stingy. The Telegraph location will do this free of charge.

0/10, would not recommend.during one of the recent atmospheric rivers, the ups delivery guy left two packages (containing toilet paper + tissues) uncovered in the rain, instead of in a covered location (literally two feet away). as a result, the packages + contents were ruined, and needed to be sent back to amazon.this ups store had the audacity to charge me $2 / box to re-close each box (with a single line of tape, each), rather than recognizing that it was ups' fault that the boxes were rained on (which caused the glue to disintegrate and open the box). when i questioned whether the fee was necessary, they suggested "well, if you don't like it, you can take it back home and tape it yourself." i should mention i was on crutches at the time, with my 7yo daughter helping me carry these boxes!i'm hoping by leaving this review, this location will see a reduction in business to more than offset the $4 they charged me, and will consider changing their ways.

Zero stars! Stay away from this location and go to the FedEx store around the corner to save yourself the frustration! I have tried to coordinate the pick up of a package sent to this store while I've been out of town and it has been an absolute nightmare. Never in my life have I been treated so poorly and spoken to with such condesencion.The delivery of a package I expected was delayed to when I was out of town. I called the store to coordinate pickup upon my return. The three different associates I spoke with were incredibly rude and acted like I was asking them to move mountains. I called UPS corporate to see if there was another way to release the package. I called the store and confirmed that the process provided by UPS corporate would work and they said they would 'make an exception' for me. Someone came in on my behalf and the staff at the store refused to give them the package. I called the store the following day to understand what had happened. The person I spoke with on the phone immediately spoke to me in an accusatory tone, was rude and hung up on me while I was talking. I've had the FedEx around the corner hold my packages for an extra day without incident. Stay away from this UPS!

I've been to this store several times and one of the employees, Glenn is an absolute menace. He bullies and verbally harasses other employees right in front of customers. Last time I was in, he was mailing a package for me and this guy didn't say a single word to me for the entire transaction, just wordlessly grabbed the package from me, which is rude but oh well. But the thing that got me? He was watching a video on his phone the entire time with the SOUND ON. This guy has to be related to one of the owners cause seriously, how is he employed here?

refuses to help me change my physical address from this place to my new apartment. the men who work there are demeaning, ignoring everything i say, and repeating themselves in a super condescending way. nothing has been resolved from this after 4 months of trying to get them to do their jobs. don’t go here.

Very courteous and helpful staff I even requested that a heavy item be carried to my car and was gladly assisted with that.

Was truly grateful to the team at the Alcatraz UPS store. The corporate office had pulled some skullduggery and had ordered my return back on the truck *six minutes after it arrived at the access point for pick up.* The staff were incredibly kind, communicative, and professional. They worked hard to help me find a solution. Package received, all's well that ends well, thank you all very much!

I would give 0 ratings if it's possible. Never ship your expensive items from here. I am sure that store staff and manager steal it. I have shipped a laptop(more than 1000$) to my brother who lives in different state. i am new to the USA, so i had no idea that i had to get a insurance for expensive packages and workers did not ask if i like to get an insurance. So i didn't know about that. It was on Christhmas day(sunday) and they told me that due to a holiday season it's gonna be shipped on Tuesday of the next week, i said it's okay. And after two weeks, when i tracked it it says only label created( which means it has never left the store) . I thought okay because of the holiday season, it might be delaying. I have waited another week, but it was still same. And i went to the store , staff told me that manager is not there, and he/she is gonna call me. I have waited another week, no one called me, So i went to the store every day to know what's going on, where is my laptop. Manager never came out and talked to me about the situatuation. He was hiding on the office in the back of the store and talking from there which i thought very fishy. I literally cried that i have lost that because as a new international student it hit me really hard for financially.

Really friendly staff and always rely on them for package pickup. Living near College Ave means package theft is rampant, but this store has always come through as a safe pickup point.
