I absolutely recommend Underhill Studio. Johnny resized my ring in 15 min using a laser welder, and invited me to watch the process while explaining the details. The result was amazing, flawless. I also gave him another ring to clean and polish, perfect result. He is very knowleagable and has a real passion for his work.

This one-man shop is really fantastic. We met John for a resizing of my grandmother's wedding ring this evening, and found John to run a funky, high-tech shop, with a built-in wall terrarium of poison dart frogs (not actually poisonous when fed normal frog chow, but absolutely beautiful).John is knowledgeable, meticulous and a unique dude. Highly recommended.

I cannot recommend Johnny enough. He perfectly repaired two pairs of my earrings. I have taken jewelry to others, with less satisfying results, at three times the cost.

John resized our two wedding rings while I waited. I had been told by another well regarded jeweler in Albany that they would need to have the rings for 7+10 days...why? John did it while I waited.The rings are both absolutely perfect now. I obsessively looked them over trying to find a scar or mark but I could not. He even returned the two leftover slivers of gold to me which I wasn't expecting.John is very likeable and enthusiastic about his work. He was very careful to be sure I was certain about my sizing. I work in a giant refrigerator and my fingers contract in the cold, I wanted to get a nice tight fit over the knuckle so I no longer have to worry about my ring slipping off and away.It was nice to work one on one with the actual craftsman who was doing the work and I will return to him with any future jewelry needs.

John was able to see me on such a short notice to fix my gold earrings. He worked fast yet very meticulously. Will definitely come back in the future for jewelry repairs!

John never disappoints. This time he took a small diamond out from one part of another ring that had broken off, and put in another ring that was missing one while fixing the other one so the jagged edges didn't caught on my clothes for the other. He also tightened the rest of the stones and polished it and he was able to squeeze me in before he even opened. His prices are always more than fair especially for his attention to detail and craftsmanship. He truly is a gem of a jeweler in todays world.

The reviews here are spot on. I needed my wedding ring resized and put it off due to the cost quoted by chain stores. I called John and he said I could come immediately and he did the work while I waited and the cost was half of other places. His work was impeccable and he cleaned it far better than Shane Jewelers! I am very happy with the end result!

John did a beautiful job of repairing the broken bands on my platinum rings. I had previously used a well-rated jewelry store for this purpose but they send out the work. John has the laser in his workshop to do the work himself and let me observe as he did it. He filed the welds and polished the rings so they looked amazing. His business is a workshop, not a jewelry store, and is thus a very casual environment. His pricing is very reasonable and he does a great job. You can trust him with your jewelry. Thanks, John!
