applied to work here as a student job. i sent in my schedule, and they told me they wanted to interview me. i go to their office early on the day of the interview, and im made to wait about 30 minutes past my interview time.then, the lady sits me down and tells me that my schedule wont work. she then proceeds to spend AN ENTIRE HOUR reiterating that my schedule wont work. to this day im still not sure how it is even possible to repeat yourself for ONE WHOLE HOUR.at the end, she asked me if i still wanted to proceed with the interview. i politely declined and left.never again. dont apply here.

Never parked in the area before and the signs along the street are spaced very far apart. I found a spot near a corner, the only sign far away said "2 hour parking" in large letters and nothing else legible from that distance, we both thought we were good. I'm sure it's common in the bay area to read parking signs closely, we both thought the large lettering of "2 hour" was the restriction. The signs don't look like any signs in the city. Got a ticket, appealed and explained it was unintentional, but got denied. I was surprised as I'd never gotten a parking ticket before and the picture they took shows no sign before us and the giant "2 hour sign" in the distance. But, UC Berkeley parking seems to leverage ignorance of new parkers and sparsely posted signs. It's reasonable to say I should have gone up the hill to read the sign closer. I definitely will now.

Apparently UC Berkeley Parking is not related to UC Berkeley so it is easy for the school to wipe it's hands of any tickets that are given out.All of the staff members at the school say, "I understand your concerns regarding parking fine. However, we have absolutely no connection or authority over the Parking and Transportation department. They operate outside of our limited jurisdiction. I wish we could be of further assistance on this matter, but your best bet is to follow the contesting process outlined here."Thank you Alexandre B. for nothing because I told you that I contested it. I will never attend anything else related to this UC Berkeley school or anything affiliated with it because it is clear that they want to get paid more than actually caring about their students, visitors, or staff members. The parking situation is confusing and the signage is not clear on purpose. I hope that this company that is "not connected" to UC Berkeley but carries it's name, gets its karma one day and when it happens, the person says - oh I'm sorry it is outside of my jurisdiction.

Generally very unpleasant people to communicate with if you have to call in.

They gave me a parking citation after I purchased a parking permit, then they denied all of my appeals without explanation. There explanation for the first time the appeal was denied was, "We are not at liberty to discuss with you the citations or their decisions for not dismissing it." Gee, how helpful.
