I tried going here multiple times to give them some chances. Every time I spend an hour+ there as there is no communication between sales and workers in the yard. Once you get out in the yard you need to fight hard to flag someone down as they try to avoid eye contact at all costs.
Edit: the quality seems good and the prices are reasonable given the location. I want to like it so I’ll give it a couple more chances and update my review if it gets better. I went back to pick up my purchase in the evening with no one else there and things went much faster.

Talk about a bunch of people who have no clue about anything that they stock. I was transferred four times and nobody could help me by just telling me if the item was in stock before I drove 30 minutes to their store. I would never spend my money here. Every single person that answered was too lazy to look and would keep sending me to someone else until I hung up 34 minutes later.

I've been purchasing construction materials and lumber from Truitt & White for around 12 years now. They have a good selection of materials, and most of the lumber is typically in stock. On the occasion that I needed to place a special order for lumber, they received it quickly. Their customer service is good. The staff is knowledgeable and well-informed about their products. Furthermore, the employees in the yard, whom I have known for years, are always friendly and helpful.

The recent December 2022 rain storm blew a few of the decorative trim pieces off my home. After several phone calls to lumber companies in my immediate area, I was referred to Truitt & White Lumber Company. I received excellent customer service from Thom who collected the details of what I needed and then from Terrence who reproduced the additional trim pieces exactly from the sample I provided. While waiting I was asked several times by different employees, 'Are you being helped?' My experience was beyond satisfactory. Also happy to support a family-owned business.

Dave, Maria and Sam spent the better part of an hour in their store trying to find replacement door latches for my home. They instructed me to disassemble the latches to determine the correct dimensions. In doing so, I was very surprised to find I could fix the ones we had. So they didn't get a sale, but their input led to a happy ending!

Don't expect them to return emails or keep you updated as to the status of your order. I've tried ordering through two different representatives here and both had just the worst customer service. Please direct message me for PAGES of examples. I would avoid this company at all costs unless you want a nightmare and months of delays that are not even communicated to you until you call them.

We purchased all of our windows and a large slider for our home. They were very professional and easy to work with. They have a list of installers and ours was awesome. Easily saving 50% over anyone else. (Don't be fooled by the buy one get the second one 50% off from Anderson windows.) For example, our slider with side glass is 12 feet wide, our price for a top level unit was $3500 plus installation and Anderson Windows 'discounted' price was $13,000 for an inferior option.

The professionals’ choice indeed!Construction is often a chaotic business. I use Truitt and White because it isn’t chaotic, and great for the majority of my needs for building supplies. Of course there are specialty suppliers, but Truitt continues to be our mainstay supplier for us, as it has been for me, personally, for decades.
