Despite its name, the store sells very little having anything to do with gardening. There's one small corner of the store that has a few gardening items, plus a few plants; but if you want a much better selection of either, go to a real nursery (like Cactus Jungle just up 4th or Berkeley Horticultural). The rest of the store is an eclectic mix of items: books, salad bowls, linens, art, bath soap, jewelry, furniture, and more. Similarly to going to a real nursery if you want a better selection of gardening items, you probably ought to go to a store specializing in whatever it is you're looking for (e.g., if you're shopping for furniture, go to a real furniture store). I guess this is the kind of store you might go to if you want to get a gift, but have no idea what to get. While it's all seemingly quality merchandise, it's way overpriced. Oh, and there are no refunds! Only store credit. I guess if there's one eclectic item you've just got to have no matter the cost (and could never dream of ever returning it), then shop here.

This is quite a unique store, it is an experience. That's for sure. The way I feel when I enter the store is almost difficult to describe. I just feel at peace. The items are carefully selected, each piece thoughtfully designed by the artists. Though a bit on the pricier side, I find that I have not regretted a single item I've purchased from here. Every year, I save up to get a nice (fancy) one of a kind item from the gardener, other times throughout the year, I come in to get soaps and lotions or stay for the good vibes. Its peaceful.I just love love love that this place exists and I get to go!

Here's how they get you. Nice things, helpful sales people, who don't tell you all the facts. A small sign posted at the counter, but no disclosure by sales staff who keep you talking, and you find out after your $1000 purchase that there's no refund on any purchase. SLIMY.I'm stuck with a Fermob bench that doesn't suit me, because I foolishly thought that my purchase wouldn't be irreversibly permanent the moment I walked out the door.Never, ever, ever again. Anywhere else would treat you better. I wish them best in this economy.

If you need a special gift or are furnishing your glamor pad, this spot has what you need.For many years they have curated a beautiful and high quality selection of house-wears, jewelry and gardening items. I love to stop by and window show and seek some inspiration.Sell some stock before you visit, the prices are in-line with the high quality! Half joking, they actually have a wide range of price points so you can likely find something whatever your budget.4th Street shopping district in Berkeley is a great spot to visit, plan a longer visit and have a bite too. It makes the moderately challenging parking situation feel worth it.

I have shopped here a few times. No one ever greeted or offered help, which was never an issue. Today when I actually did need assistance, the person behind the counter was rude and dismissive. No thank you!

This is a wonderfully curated shop with tons of unique, useful and pretty things. Michelle is awesome! I purchased a few pots years ago, came back recently and purchased a small yellow fermob table and a potting bench. The bench was too big for my car so I had to organize a LUGG to deliver it to Sonoma. Michelle was super helpful. I loved my potting bench so much and ended up using it as an outside bar so I called to see if they had another one and they did! Michelle helped me AGAIN and was excellent in every way. I will be shopping there again. I wish we had a shop like this in Sonoma. They have great stuff that is hard to find and well made.

A nice place for a hodgepodge of items, including mostly small and medium plants (many succulents), toiletries, and kitchenware. They sell jewellery, other accessories, and furniture too. If you're in the area, looking for the aforementioned and convenience, you can find that here. But if you're on a budget, you may want to do some research about how to maximise your budget on the whole before spending it all here.

I have shopped at this store since I was in college. Last week I went into the store and purchased a side table indicating to the clerk that I needed to see if it would work. It was too small for the room so I returned it two days later. Michelle was on duty and advised that I could only return it if I took store credit. I advised that I was 75 years old and on a fixed income and only occasionally found items that I could afford in the store. She advised that this was their store policy and it was on my receipt. I looked at the receipt and in very tiny letters it stated only store credit for any returned items. The only problem is that you only get the receipt handed to you AFTER you have purchased the item. She advised that I could not leave the table.I indeed left the table and contacted my bank. The bank gave me a conditional credit. If I am not successful with this, I am going to come to 4th Street every weekend and stand outside the store and advise all customers of this policy and I will tell my story. You may see me there if you come to 4th Street to shop

This place is a must stop by when you're in the area. It's got tons of trendy and high end products that'll make you want to redesign your whole home! Great spot for gifts for friends as well as inspiration.
