Terra offers comfortable rope furniture which can't be repaired. For example, the Diablo Dining Side Chair is currently listed for $450. Before I bought a chair, I asked about repairing it. The rope they use is quite strong, but will eventually break, leaving the buyer with an aluminum frame but nothing to sit on. Once the 3 year warranty is up, you're on your own, according to Terra staff. Jessica Goins, the customer care manager said: "Our furniture manufacturer doesn't have available guidelines or recommendations on how to repair rope. Replacing the chair under warranty would be our resolution if a customer had a rope break. " Note that Jessica does not have a solution if the rope breaks after the end of the 3 year warranty.

I just got my absolutely gorgeous and sturdy amazing Tiburon sectional sofa with custom denim Aruba turquoise colored cushions & LOOOOOOOVE IT!!! So awesome. The delivery was prompt and friendly/accommodating and the store service is truly beyond. Yes, this is the most pricey outdoor furniture I've ever purchased and yes, as others suggested, I did hit the Labor Day sale supreme (just by chance/luck). If you want gorgeous, customized pieces with pampered attention and service, Terra Outdoor Living is your place. Thank you, Terra!

The quality of the staff exceeds the quality of the furniture -- both are outstanding! Terra Outdoor Living has well-constructed, beautifully designed furniture made of quality materials. I recently added a small patio. Brandon helped me try different options that would fit in a small space. He knows the stock well and came up with different ideas to try. The manager Paul was outstandingly helpful when I called later, as I'd forgotten I'd need an umbrella. I can't recommend Terra Outdoor Living in Berkeley enough.

The customer service was really bad here. I said hello to get some help and they just ignored me. There were two employees chatting among themselves with no customers. I walked by a second time to get help and they were so busy with their own conversation they didn't realize I was there. When your paying 3 times as much for patio furniture you would expect customer service to be great but that wasn't the case. I ended up finding a similar patio furniture set I liked even more for a fraction of the price online from home depot.

My husband and I are so happy with the sofa and chairs with decorative pillows we ordered at Terra Outdoor Living. Our neighbors bought some years ago and they love them and finally we stopped in. The salespeople are kind, helpful and unassuming. We love what we chose. The comfort, design and beauty is beyond compare. Great people and great selection. My wife and I bought a fire table there, and the people who work there were very helpful and made sure we got exactly what we wanted. It's always great to see a business run this well. It sometimes seems easy to buy things online, but if there are any issues, there's no one to help. When you deal with people in person, they can be there for you.

I decided to bite the bullet and buy all new, high-quality outdoor furniture that would last a very long time. It's really expensive so, I did a lot of homework and decided to check out Terra in Berkeley. The entire staff is excellent, friendly and very efficient. Aubyn helped me and was great from start to finish. We purchased a Merced Teak dining table, six chairs, the Belvedere loveseat, 2 club chairs and a large pouf. When we got it all situated we realized we needed seating for six in all areas and called Aubyn to order another loveseat and coffee table. We love it all! Bonus points because their delivery system is fast and and friendly too.

We ordered a teak table, and then had to exchange it a couple of times. Each table they sent either came with scratches on it or had poor quality teak. We tried to communicate with the store what we were looking for (the higher grade teak without scratches), and we offered to go to the warehouse to save them the time/cost of another delivery. But they ended up telling us they "did not want to keep looking for a good quality table for us". The quality of their teak varies a lot (and perhaps gets damaged easily in shipping given the scratches we saw). So no matter what you see in the showroom, that does not mean the same level of quality will be delivered to your door. I would have given more stars, but in addition to the above, we had very poor interactions with the manager at the Berkeley store, Paul. 1. He was not responsive (it took him several days to return calls and he would not follow up with emails as promised). 2. He would say whatever was convenient in the moment - one minute he said they sold so many of these tables that they couldn't keep track of them, and the next minute he said they rarely sell these tables so they're not opening boxes all the time. We couldn't trust what he said after catching him doing this. 3. He tried to sell us a used table at full price. 4. He blamed an "executive committee" for his decisions. 5. He was patronizing...making decisions for us and claiming he was doing that to help us, even though we specifically asked for the opposite. I had to remind him that we were capable of making our own decisions. The company puts on the pretense of having great customer service and great products, but I can't recommend them after this experience.
