Purchased a coffee table and the hexagon side table and the pieces have transformed my studio apartment to such quiet elegance and beauty. Literally elevated my space to a new level and knowing where the wood comes from and who designed and made them make the pieces even more special. Alex was so pleasant to work with from shopping to delivery, the process was smooth and fun. Quite affordable for this level of quality and craftsmanship.

We were completing a whole home renovation and addition and needed a new dining table to fill our new space. We wanted a signature piece - big, bold, and unique - as opposed to a dining set available from any furniture store. I started searching for reclaimed wood craftsmen, and came across Alex's website. The pieces online looked beautiful, so my wife and I made a trip over to Berkeley that Saturday to check out his showroom. Leaning against the wall was the most beautiful 108" slab, which we immediately knew we wanted. Alex worked with us to select the perfect legs, and we scheduled delivery for two weeks later. We love the way it looks in our new dining room, and everyone who visits immediately comments on it's beauty.

We bought 4 chairs for our dining room in December 2021. They are at our dining room table, which we do not use on a daily basis. These chairs are sat in perhaps once a month, on average. We have no kids at home and my wife and I are both small people at under 140 lbs each. They are lightly used and absolutely not abused.On Mother's Day, we did use the dining room table. I sat down in one of the chairs and the right rear leg fell off. I sat straight down and was suddenly on the floor. Thank goodness it was me and not my 82 year old, frail Mother-in-law.See the photos below. Upon inspection, there was a knot that created a very weak spot in the leg. Only about 1/16 inch "line" of wood needed to break for the leg to fall off. Most of this leg had a gap in the knot when I bought it.I will tell you that I spent the years 2012-2020 in a lab studying mechanical failure, so I actually know this subject really well.Unfortunately, this business owner will not accept responsibility for a defective and dangerous product. In my view, I should be getting a replacement chair. He's claiming that the chair was leaned back on. It wasn't. The pictures tell the story here. The evidence is very strong. I've only been offered 15% off of the purchase of a new chair. Ummm, no, I'm not giving you another $425 of my money.So, if you buy anything here, inspect it well before you take it home.

We bought a puzzle piece coffee table months ago from Alex, after searching high and low to no avail for a coffee table that was well made, safe around kids, and beautiful. My goodness, Alex is a master craftsman and passionate about his work. He was so kind in dealing with us and even gave us tips on caring for the wood given we are a family with young children. He was even excited about our request for his help in adding latches to the puzzle pieces so that our kids wouldn't tip them over. He took the initiative to find the perfect latches that would be well hidden and effective. We had the best experience and are honored to own one of his pieces. We hope to come back and buy from him again. The reviews here really are NOT too good to be true. We are all just fortunate to have Alex in our world! Thank you dearly Alex! The table is perfect and has been holding up so well to our toddler's mischief!

We had been looking for quality solid hardwood furniture for a while, and were disappointed by what else is on the market. We walked into the show room in Berkeley and instantly fell in love with Teak Me Home's style! We bought a amazing dining room table, dresser, and bed frame. Rachel was super helpful in answering questions and coordinating delivery. We got everything within a week, amazing when everything other company has lead times of months. Alex was also super attentive and let us pick out our exact table top.The teak is gorgeous, it glows under light. Nice to own something made out of materials older than us, and that will likely outlive us! Will definitely be coming back for future furniture. (When are those Ravere end tables coming back in stock? ;)

Hi !I met the owner of the store for first time Today . I didn't went there to buy any furnitures but I did to talk with her about the product that our farm provide, befor I point Out any deep details Her attitude were nice and friendly !If as a non costumer she talk to me with an a wonderful attitude way .. then I'm wondering what she could provide for her costumers !great person highly recommend her place .I never tried it but her furnitures look wonderful and look that it comes with excellent quality. We are so happy with our new coffee table. Alex was so helpful in the showroom and explained how to care for this lovely solid teak table with a beautiful natural finish. We arranged delivery and when there was a slight mix up on the date for delivery, Alex and a helper personally delivered the table the same day. I would definitely go back for other pieces in future. Their showroom is full of gorgeous furniture made from reclaimed teak. A great local business in Berkeley!

I bought the Ravere bedframe as my partner and I were smitten with it when we saw it in Alex‘s store a few years ago. Each frame is different and a work of art, plus teak is a beautiful wood. Alex’s responsiveness in the purchasing process and his coming by to help set it up in my new home went above and beyond my expectations. I look forward to enjoying this bed for years to come.He sources the wood from the beams of dismantled buildings in a village in Java, Indonesia, and I understand that some of the funds from purchase of the beams support the community. So there’s a great story here.
