It’s all about George!! He is the nicest person. The last time I was here, I came to clean a bazillion bugs from the front of my car. I was on a road trip and swarms of them stuck to my car. He noticed them and brought over a cleaning solution that removed them quickly. Not only that, he helped me clean the rest of my car. Total sweetheart. He works Mondays & Tuesdays.
The only bummer is that sometimes the automated car wash stops working while the car is in it. There is no way to get a reimbursement. It has stopped twice before finishing cleaning my car.

Pretty good self-serviced car wash. Staff was helpful explaining how it works. Took one star off because they no longer offer "value bays" as promoted on their website. $6 for 5:30, and $1 for an additional minute. The pressure foam was both pressurised and foamy enough to get a good wash.

I only give this place 2 stars because I like the price and the place seems well kept. The system itself sucks! You have to start the machine by scanning a QR code with your phone and the Machine starts almost immediately giving you no time to put your phone away so you're washing your car with your phone in your hand. I dropped my phone and broke it which had me very irritated! It says I have 11 minutes a day But I only got five and a half minutes Which led me to believe I had another 5 and a half minutes if I were to scan the QR code again but I was wrong so I sat there with a broken phone and a soapy car and had to call customer service remotely start the machine so I can rinse my car. I came back today to wash my car again, and the same thing happens why advertised 11 minutes a day if I'm only getting 5 1/2 and they say that you only get one car wash a day I don't want to get talked to like an idiot by customer service every time I wash my car to try to get them to remotely start the machine again this is so annoying I would never suggest anyone use this system the guy tells me when the machine alerts you that you're running out of time you need to add more time why would I need to pay for more time if I'm supposed to get 11 minutes a day 11 minutes is plenty of time to wash your car especially if you're watching it on a regular basis however, 5 and 1/2 minutes is not 11 minutes I hate paying for something that I'm not receiving without the help of compensation from a customer service representative

Good place except vacuum hoses are taped and don't work. I spent $8 and it barely vacuumed up some of the dust and dirt off four floorboards. Didn't get to my trunk. Was a waste of money. I demand a refund.

It's good. It's the car wash so what can you say. The staff is always friendly and pretty helpful. They keep the place clean. I keep coming back. I think it's the best self serve car wash in the Berkeley area. They also have a drive through wash which Is pretty cheap.

I took everything out of my car to vacuum it. Payed the 5 dollars and the vacuum hardly had any power so I had to put everything back in my car and drive to another car wash.

A good DIY carwash. Bay I used did not have forced water pressure, yet could be due to water conservation. Selections engaged timely, no complaints. Drying areas limited to a few cars. Can be challenging on busy days. Card machine did exact dollar amount, no gouging or maximum holdings. Only one way to enter via side of main road.

Avoid this place unless you like being shouted at, insulted, and taunted as you drive away by an attendant that serves zero purpose. Their system is stupid, have to wait behind a specific car port instead of 1st available. Bro in sunglasses makes the simple act of spraying your car down a miserable experience. Goes into the bad customer service hall of fame, glad I will never give these people a dimeEdit: this was 9/24/23 around 5:30 pm. Car ports were full but I was the first to arrive otherwise, so I sat back to wait to see which one came open. Guy in white shirt and sunglasses came up to me to pull behind a specific car. I ignored him as I wasn't even sure if he worked there (i.e. not in any specific work clothes). Then another car arrived and he told them to pull up (ahead of me) so I left. Had to get going and didn't want to waste my time with this guy anymore. As I drove away he said something like "OH HE MAD" and said he had asked me nicely to pull up (not true, dude was never nice about it)

This location has an exchange for tokens from cash but then does not allow you to use tokens. Instead says credit card only but all the card readers do not work. I'll stick to the location in El Cerrito. Not sure how they make money.

Dryers didn't dry my car. Water used was muddy. Left spots. I appreciate that they use recycling water. Need more dryers.

The staff (black man with sunglasses, likely in his late 20s/early 30s) threatened me with physical violence when we accidentally drove through the exit to enter. I would not recommend this car wash to anybody ever if the staff is more focused on being needlessly aggressive instead of empathy towards tourists.

Ive always had my gripes with this place but never been the type to leave a bad review. To start off the automatic car wash is terrible to say the least, it leaves the area between the hood and windshield untouched, uses very harsh rubber bristles that absolutely wreck your cars paint. Also does not have a drying cycle at all. Today I came back to this place to use the self service wash and went to change dollars for their "solar coins" since the machines have never taken quarters only their coins, not to mention how expensive it is for how little time you get. After exchanging 8 dollars for coins I went to begin my wash, shortly to discover they no longer accept their own coins! credit only! So how are they still selling their coins that are virtually useless at their own car wash? a complete scam. I will not be returning here no matter how many opportunities I've gave this place in the past.
