This motel use to be a nice place now they let people that stay there put on their junk all around our neighborhood and even in front of a church I hope they clean up their act

The rooms have bed bugs and very dirty .the works who run this hotel are very disrespectful and changes price and if you use credit card they charge a higher price look how dirty these hotel are.... These is not for any American to take family to ... They need a change

Very happy at the service by the night lady and the rooms.Was second guessing the place as it had a lot of bad reviews, which as it happened they seem to be fake. I was at a conference at UC Berkeley (5 mins away) and needed to stay an extra night, found this place close by around 10pm and they answered right away, unlike some of the other hotels close by that didn’t answer.Lady that answers I think was a mixed, she was very nice gave me a run down and said special pricing for AAA members.Called about 5-6 places some they never answered, some had like a $150 deposit on top, some were in sketch parts close by, some I didn’t even want to call. Most places were in the upwards of $200-250 per night.Decided on this place, lady helping me charged me $129 out the door, provided me a parking spot and stayed open till I got there.Once I got into the room, it did not smell like cigarettes, had a queen size clean bed and sheets, room was clean with a small fridge and lamps. Bathrooms were also stocked nicely with clean towels and warm water.Overall I decided to take a video and also review this as the lady in the front was very nice and sweet and some of these ratings are not truthful.

The place was amazing. The rooms were clean and the people who worked there were so nice! Keitha helped us so much and was the kindest ever!! Made our experience a 10/10

The rooms were clean. The front desk staff were friendly. I stayed for 4 nights and it was really peaceful!

Absolutely Disgusting. The room smells of harsh cleaning chemicals, but the real reason for 1 star was the living worms that would rise out of the sink when you turned the water on. Additionally, the sink was broken so not all the water went down the drain, but would leak out the back and onto the counter... WORMS and all!!! There were also quite a few flies that kept finding a way inside despite killing them all and not opening the door... I attempted to stay here a single night after watching a concert at The Greek, but it was so disgusting we opted to just drive home. Currently in disputes to get a refund for the night we didn't even stay, but they are fighting that despite it being a health concern. Hopefully the money they don't give back with actually go to repairing this terrible property. TLDR; Would absolutely not recommend this place. Stay anywhere else but here.

Rooms smell of cigarette smoke. Broken light fixtures, blinds and drawers. Rexpect rattling ac units and leaky faucets. The smell of cigarettes is soaked into the walls and carpet and burn marks on the furniture. Small rooms with odd layout. Affordable but still not worth it.

The perfect place to stay if you want to be awakened in the middle of the night by someone running water. There appears to be absolutely no insulation around the pipes in this place.

The staff here makes up for the unfortunate criminals that steal important things with no monetary value. I hope business for this establishment increases and the night lady gets a raise and promotion.

I had had a problem with another booking so I called here at like 12:30am asking if they had any last minute availability. The clerk that answered offered to stay open to wait for us. We arrived and she was kind and very helpful. Room was clean as well. Parking was a little packed but clerk was very helpful in figuring out parking issue. Breakfast was a little lacking but overall a good stay. The wonderful clerk really did make the experience better too.

A reasonably affordable spot with the best night time staff member. She makes you feel like she really cares and goes waaay out of her way to accommodate anything you may need no matter what the time. Treats everyone with the same respect no matter what. Great attitude! She really makes the whole experience a thousand times better.Rooms: The rooms are not all the same size but they all have the same amount of furniture in them. So the double rooms seem to have very very limited space to walk around in while a king has ample room to walk around in. Shoot. Do some cartwheels. The double rooms will leave you bruised if you're not careful or clumsy.

We msg to let them know we were checking in late.We get there, parking is small... Had to wait outside for someone to come to the check in window to check us in and to tell us where to park (on the street) Oh and don't forget to move your car by 9am, or 8 am can't remember what she said. We went into room... it smelled like humidity and there was a febreze bottle but it was empty! Okay... The bed sheets had dark stains.. we stayed on night as we drove 8 hours ....That night... was hot and humid in the room. We turned on the AC! Nope bad decisions as that thing made noise and did not let us sleep! As it still did not cool the room but the fan kinda worked so we left it on... sleep like 4hrs or so... if that! We msg them Saturday morning if we can cancel and get refund.Person said yes! Music to our ears. One night cost $127 + taxGiving the 2 stars for the help in getting us the refund and not giving us push back! Thank you!

I've always had good luck here. Yes, my key often doesn't work until they come to the room, try it, and it works (Stupid Flanders), but the staff is great, and the rooms have always been very clean. It's also relatively quiet, except for anytime there is a Berkeley game, and then fans of either team prove how much spirit they have by the number of drinks and decibels they can maintain until 2am. But, I went to the University of Minnesota, and games seemed to bring out everyone's inner pyro, so that was tame. It is a few blocks from Trader Joe's, Downtown Berkeley, and a 15 minute walk to campus, and no stay in Berkeley would be complete without popping into a Dispensary, 3 within 10-15 walk. I appreciate its simplicity. Free parking. A comfortable bed with comfortable pillows, easy check-in, and privacy. (I've stayed in other hotels in Oakland where the people who check you in act like you are imposing on them, and give you that look. I once checked in a place after a friend called, and invited him over since he was nearby and it had been a while. When I called down to ask for the password, the woman said, "There are 3 people in your room!" I said, "They are two friends who just stopped by to say hi. She said, "But you only have 1 person listed for the room! When ate they planning to leave? It is already 9pm!" I said, "It's 9pm on a Friday, and when a friend stops over, I don't ask, 'When are you planning to leave?' But they aren't staying here." ) So, I really appreciate not being treated like I'm 16 and told to leave my door open, but just given the privacy and some space I usually would expect.

I don't think they clean these rooms between guests, more likely they ask the gardener to just go through it with a a leaf blower. It is absolutely disgusting and I am amazed they can stay in business. I just checked in and haven't really checked the room in great detail but the sheets have cigarette burn holes, pubes in the shower, everything is stained and it's just awful. Do yourself a favor, just sleep on the street.Maybe Berkeley doesn't have as many homeless people as we think, maybe they are just regular people that came to quality in and just decided that Nope, street is better than this place!
