Holly and Lili answered my emails and calls within minutes, which makes ALL the difference when you’re trying to move quickly to deal the deal.
They executed my pre-approval and full loan funding process speedily — thanks to their streamlined work I was well-positioned to make a strong offer with a very short close when my dream home came along.

Peter and his team were instrumental in our home purchase. We were pointed Peter's direction by our real estate agent who had nothing but good things to say about his previous experience with them, and we're very glad that we followed his advice. My wife and I were first time homebuyers that needed a bit of extra care in the house purchasing process and we felt especially supported by Peter, Holly, and Gabby. Their communication really was top notch: all of our calls and emails were promptly answered and returned, and none of our concerns were considered too small to address. Once we were preapproved and offering on houses, Peter's team pivoted with us from offer to offer without missing a beat. Finally, once a seller accepted one of our offers, Peter, Holly, and Gabby walked us through the closing process with absolutely no snags, and in fewer than 3 weeks the house was ours! As far as a first-time homebuying process goes, I can't imagine a much more fluid experience. We highly recommend Peter and his team.

What a great experience it was working with Peter and Holly! Holly made the loan process so easy. She took the time to clearly and concisely answer all of my questions, as well as, helping me understand the ins and outs of owning a short term rental. The information she provided was much appreciated. Peter checked in with me from time to time to make sure things were progressing smoothly. I would definitely use them again if the need arises!

Incredibly thankful to have worked with Peter & Holly. As a self-employed individual, I needed a mortgage broker that would go the extra mile. Holly and her underwriting department were able to analyze my finances and provide creative solutions to increase my loan amount. The amount of attention their team spent working on my file is the only reason I can now call myself a homeowner in the Bay Area! Peter's team is highly professional and very responsive. I am so happy that we worked with Peter, Holly and their wonderful team to finance our first home purchase. I talked to a number of brokers and what set them apart was the personal attention we received, their local expertise in the notoriously challenging Bay Area real estate market, and their ability to be more flexible on financing options than the large banks we talked to.
When I first reached out, Peter got on the phone with me immediately and walked me through the process and also explained how his team would help us bid competitively for a home in the daunting Bay Area market. Then I worked closely with Holly to get us pre-approved and price our offers before submitting bids.
Their customer service was unmatched and I was able to get a hold of them quickly when we were anxious to put together a bid or had questions we needed answered. When we successfully bid on the house that became our new home, Holly worked with me tirelessly to get everything ready for a smooth close. She was so proactive and we had literally a dozen phone conversations within a 24 hour period as she helped us lock down a rate that was favorable in a time where interest rates were increasing rapidly, sometimes jumping from one hour to the next. Every minute counted and Holly made sure we got the best rate possible.
On the day of closing, Peter and my real estate agent were grabbing lunch and they called me together to tell me the good news that everything was finalized and we now owned our first home! Afterward I had some issues getting a refund from the FAIR plan that was accidentally double charged during closing, and Holly went out of her way to help me recover the funds and kept following up until I got the refund check. This is a company that truly cares about their customers. I am so grateful we have them in our corner and highly recommend working with the Barnes team!

As a first time home buyer, Peter's team made the daunting process so easy. On my initial call, they explained each step from getting pre-approved for a mortgage to explaining the escrow process. Once I found my home, they were able to shop around and find me the best loan for my situation. Their team was always around to answer my questions and I can't thank them enough. It's also worth mentioning that they have extensive knowledge of the local Bay Area real estate market.

Being first-time home-buyers in a complicated property market and a confusing financing moment felt like walking blindfolded towards a cliff's edge.

Peter, Holly, and the rest of the team were incredibly helpful walking us through the whole process and making sure everything was ready, so when we put in an offer we could move quickly.
