“I have been an electric wheelchair user since 1979. I've never had such pleasant experience dealing with a wheelchair repair shop as I have had with Independent Life in Berkeley. They contacted me after an airline damaged my chair as they handle airline repairs. The wheelchair technician came to my house to pick up the chair, repaired the damage and brought it back a couple of hours later. They were all so easy to deal with and took care of all of the billing and other arrangements. Right now I use them for as many repairs as I can. They always come exactly when they say they will and often deliver my chair back sooner than they say. Very professional and extremely easy to deal. Every time I call, I immediately reach the receptionist who is knowledgeable about all things going on in the shop. If she is unsure, she finds healthy answer calls me right back. I couldn't recommend them more. Ian Francis is the main tech and he is so knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with.
