This place is great! I needed a formal shirt to wear to a wedding and Denise was super helpful in picking out a great one. Prices are super reasonable for the high quality.

I was looking for a nice African outfit for a vacation trip, found Lola's African Apparel and made an appointment. She was awesome!!! She explained to me what actually would look better for me and was spot on. Also created the matching head wrap. I was very pleased and got lots of compliments! I highly recommend her!!!

Superb, wonderful, genuine, well-tailored clothing from all over the continent. This small business punches way above its weight class. The fabrics are of extremely high quality. These are not knock-offs, so do expect to shovel out a fair piece of change for the clothing here. I purchased two outfits and a pair of earrings here, and get complements every time I wear them. The store also sells a variety of accessories, and I believe I saw some incense or scented oils in the shop near the front window. The proprietess is well-versed in the meaning and origin of the patterns on the clothing. You can browse comfortably without being subjected to heavy-handed overselling onslaughts. This was worth the BART trip from SF, and I'll most certainly be back.

Lola was the most pleasant saleswoman/owner you would ever meet. Her store has something for everyone. And she actually will measure you to ensure you purchase the right size.

The shop is small but the African outfits are fantastic. The salesperson was also fantastic she was very helpful loved it. It was a little hard to find because the address was not visible enough but I did find it I will go back

Carefully handmade, accessibly priced pieces of beautiful & high quality fabrics. I've loved their headbands especially for the spring/summer, and their masks are also well-constructed. The location is convenient to drop by, just steps from Ashby Bart. East Bay is so lucky to have this small business! :)

Ifafunke, the owner of the store, is so nice and friendly. She's an expert on her culture, fashion, and styling, yet she doesn't price gouge. Also being Nigerian, I appreciated how she provides both styles based on the various tribes in Nigeria and ones with slight diaspora twists.

We live in South Berkeley and try to support Black businesses in our community. Lola's is a wonderful spot for African clothes. My husband and I both find an assortment of beautiful clothes from Africa and Lola is very nice and welcoming. Her prices are great and you get quality clothing in all sizes.
