Expert. Trustworthy. Reliable help. 2024 UPDATE As a small business owner I've used LMI's IT and repair services for over a decade. LMI is the only IT service I trust that works with home offices like mine. Worth my crossing the Bay for! Yes I looked around closer to home. One IT service, in my neighborhood, sold me a bad charger that fried my laptop battery. Not trust-inspiring-- if they got a charger wrong, what could happen with their IT? I had Internet , too, through LMI. Then switched to Sonic's high-speed fiber, *only* because Sonic reached my area with that before LMI did. LMI's now expanding their own high-speed fiber. I kept my LMI email boxes for years after. That gave me time to gradually, selectively migrate my business contacts over, and archive key emails. With that finally done, LMI's Support team walked me through my last steps. With the same generous, expert support I've always gotten from LMI. So glad to keep LMI's IT and repair services! And fully recommend LMI's high-speed Internet too. PRIVACY Both LMI and Sonic are stellar when it comes to protecting our privacy. No selling our browsing history, as most Internet Providers do. They don't even keep our emails beyond a few weeks or so. Plus they're independent, and staying that way!

I tried to get info via their website. I tried to fill out their form several times, including multiple "i am not a robot" passes. They insisted on a phone number (why??). When I finally gave the phone number, the form lost all my other information. (i wish I were a robot.) Clearly this is not a quality business.

I had been having issues with my big box internet providers. You are just a unit to them....so I explored and found LMI.NET. I could not be happier! Gary, I think the owner, walked me through my options and got the service he recommended....and am super pleased! Less money and better service! Shop local!....even for internet service! You're welcome in advance!

I have been with LMI for over a decade now. Best customer service ever! Always so helpful patient and kind. The rates are on par with the big guys after the deceptive introductory rates expire. I see some mention of outages here. I would chalk it up to their leasing partners reducing investment in copper and focusing on fiber. Remember when cellular upgrades happened every year or two? Unless you migrated to the new system and bought a new phone you had lots of issues. I think that's what's happening now. Fiber is the latest and greatest. If you can upgrade it's worth it. If you live in an area it's not available yet copper is just going to continue to be problematic and it's not just w/LMI. I have friends on Comcast and ATT copper or DSL and they have the same problems.

We have LMI.net for many years and the internet speed is getting worse. It has been so slow in the past few weeks and completely down today!! We called and left messages, sent emails, logged a ticket online, and NOTHING happened after all these frustrating hours! I know today is a holiday and they are closed. But as an internet service provider, they don't even have one on call staff?! Unacceptable!

I have been an LMi customer for many years and, on their recommendation, I recently made the move from DSL to fiber. The initial conversation took place via email, with responses arriving within an hour to every question I asked...and I had many! I didn't feel in the least bit pressured and was just given the facts. Based on the responses, I decided to make the move. After one glitch, which was related to what I believe was Sonic time overload (Sonic runs the cable into the home), I made a second appointment. I had a very specific request on how the cable should be run. However, the Sonic technician was terrific and worked out how he could run it exactly as I had asked. As this involved working in the crawl space, it wasn't the simplest task. Once the cable had been run, an LMi technician was here within an hour to set up my desktop! I don't think LMi could have made it any easier. If there was one "difficulty" it was having a four-hour window for Sonic to arrive. That said, once the Sonic technician arrived, everything just flowed so easily. As for the fiber, everything is working perfectly I also know that if something goes wrong, LMi is a PHONECALL (yes, a phonecall and a real person!) away. Great job, LMi! Thank you!

The outages are frequent and never explained. The website basically says 'there's an outage, we don't know why and have no idea when it will be fixed.' Thanks guys. Try calling them? After 20 attempts with no answer I've given up. Check their socials linked on their website? They haven't posted or updated their Facebook or Twitter accts in years and won't respond there either. The temptation to support local businesses is laudable, and you should keep doing that. In this instance, go with a more well known provider who has a good reliable service and don't bother giving LMI a chance. I've never had so many outages with any ISP in my entire life and the time stolen by trying to resolve constant issues makes LMI far too expensive in the grand scheme of things. Will be canceling and switching to someone else ASAP.

I've had DSL service through LMI.net for about 6 years. Every once in awhile, something happens. When it happened this past weekend, I waited to see if it would clear up on its own. It was still acting up Monday night, so I called LMI.net service at 6:15pm. I figured I would get voicemail. Within 20 seconds, I was talking to a live person. I explained that I had DSL, it had been acting up, and gave my name. The service rep responded immediately, "I'm seeing your line on my screen and I can see there is a problem. Let me do a quick test." I said, "I've always had good service from you folks." He responded, "Thank you, but the overall industry has set such a low bar, that all we have to do is answer the phone and we're way ahead of them!" After about 30 seconds he said, "I'm seeing there is a short in your line. Usually with DSL, that means a problem on our end. I'll have the first service technician available in the morning to come out and fix it. And we'll call you when he is finished to make sure it's working again." A repairman was at the house at 9AM Tuesday morning, and the problem was resolved. And they called back to confirm the success of the repair. Why would I look elsewhere for internet service?

LMi has been our internet provider for eight years and they have done a wonderful job. My favorite thing about working with them is that when I call the company, a human being answers the phone! It's a small company and they have wonderful, responsive customer care. I'm a fan!

Omg!!! I wanted to cancel Comcast because their Internet services costs are outrageous!! One day last year my sister put me on to Lmi.net. Everytime and I mean, everytime the interaction with the employees are professional & pleasant.I recently called to address a connection issue.Let's begin with Ms Jackie. She has a way of making you feel appreciated & goes over and beyond to make sure your concerns are addressed no matter how many times you need assistance. She gives off a sweet demeanor, down to earth kinda gal with a nice sense of humor.Im sure she is a cute as her personality!?Let's talk about the superb tech assistance. Julio is amazing. He is nice, patient and keeps his word. If he tells you he will call back to make sure your service is good..count on it.He called me multiple times until he reached me.??♀️? He gave clear responses to my questions and offered solutions to address the issue. Usually when your experiencing issues with your internet your frustrated and the person on the other end sometimes complicates the situation. Not with LMI.Their willingness to help and get you right is on point.You can tell this company treats their employees like family and not just an employee. It just happens to trickle down to the customers and I appreciate that. Yes! If you need affordable internet service, pls check out LMI!!! Ion if their in your service area but it doesn't hurt to ask?Thank you Jackie and Julio for the awesome experience! And to all the other colleagues, I appreciate you as well!!I'm pleased with my internet service and the price is affordable. Now I don't feel like I'm crushing my budget for wifi??

Just moved into a new apartment and Doug did a great job installing the new service. He called ahead of schedule to see if he could arrive early which was great. Simple set-up and SUPER fast speeds. Very happy so far :)

AMAZING upgrade from Comcast. Much faster internet, more responsive customer service, at about ONE THIRD THE PRICE. Comcast deserves to go the way of Blockbuster.

LMI is a professional & highly computer facility. My machine has been serviced by their personnel & everything has been well-crafted. The service desk is knowledgeable. They are personable.
