The clay pot dishes are sublime. I am particularly enamored of the shrimp clay pot. Sweet, savory, and bedded in perfect rice with a crispy bottom. It would be my death row request if my life path led me there.Service is friendly and authentic, prices are reasonable, and the large windows and corner lot provide a light airy atmosphere.Beer and wine are available, along with lemonade, coffee drinks, and other soft drinks. This is among my two favorite Vietnamese restaurants of all time. It’s always a good day when I’m lucky enough to eat here.Vegetarian options: Tofu as an option to many dishes.Kid-friendliness: My kid loves it.Wheelchair accessibility: On first floor, with no steps to entry.

Brisket pho tastes like salt water, and there was a lot of fat on the brisket pieces. Service was over the top.

Food was way too salty. Pho has fishballs that tasted like fake fish with artificial flavor and unknown ingredients.Coffee tastes awful. Avoid!!!Service was terrible. The manager has an extremely bad attitude.Dirty utensils and dangerous highchair for kids. See below for information about kids-friendliness. Avoid this place. The good thing is they have a spacious, bright store. Bathrooms are huge.Kid-friendliness: Dirty, malfunctioning highchair - be aware you are putting children at risk if you dine their.Kids unfriendly - no kids' utensils. We asked for utensil for Kids. It took them 20 minutes to finally bring us an adult huge bowl with cheap plastic disposable spoon. The bowl and spoon are all dirty!Poor service - the staff rejected to clean the highchair. we asked for alcohol wipes or sanitizer, they also failed to provide. We ended up cleaning the highchair (but paid them tips!) Their highchair is sticky all over, dirty, gross!

Really good pho. Also, OMG, I had never had pan fried flat rice noodles before and they were AMAZING!The room itself is kind of loud but it's a comfortable space.

Pho soup contains MSG and got rashes but I guess it is common to add MSG in Asian restaurants. Shrimp roll doesn’t have MSG and it tastes good and fresh with the sauce. In total I would recommend the restaurant, the seating is spacious and high ceiling makes a nice dining vibe.

Despite the proximity to the best pho in San Jose/South Bay, finding great pho in Berkeley/SF can be such a struggle. We stopped by Le Pho on my most recent visit to Berkeley and I was pleasantly surprised. We dropped by during a quiet Friday at noon. The restaurant itself is bright and welcoming with plenty of natural sunlight shining in through the windows. The menu is extensive and offers pho, rice plates, vermicelli salads, and a few other entrees as well. I ordered the "build your own" pho with rare steak, brisket, and meatball. The broth here is noticeably more complex and satiating than others I've had in the East Bay. They are very generous on the protein which is much appreciated. We also ordered the fried egg rolls and a pork chop broken rice plate to share. Both were delicious and we even had a few customers walk over to ask what we ordered. Definitely would come back again on a cold night.

I like that they have a bigger menu with more options than most pho places. They have done a good job with everything I have tried.

Service is friendly here. If you order take out make sure to call or order on website to get the same price as done in. I love their spicy lemongrass vermicelli bowls even I don't usually like lemongrass, also their pho is solid. Great meal after climbing or just while hungover. Will order from here again and again :)

Tl;dr: good, filling food; lovely seating area; respectful serviceAs a Viet person, I'm often sad bc the only places that serve Viet food near me are banh mi places. Nothing wrong with banh mi, but sometimes I want a nice Vietnamese plate of meat, rice, and vegetables. My gf and I were in the area and popped in for a meal and I am so glad we did. It was the afternoon so the place wasn't very busy. The menu has all the Vietnamese classics I'm always craving. I got the com thit nuong (rice and pork) while my gf got the bun thit nuong (vermicelli noodles and pork) and absolutely devoured the plates. Only thing missing was the green onion oil my dad makes for me at home.Since going there, we've also ordered their food delivered to our apartment. We got pho ga (chicken) and pho tai (beef) and they each came very nicely and securely packaged so that nothing would spill. It's a little weird bc there's no bowl to pour the soup into (the soup comes in a container separate from the pho components which are packaged in a cardboard container I don't feel comfortable pouring soup into.) So we got separate bowls to assemble the pho. They each also came with a little baggy full of basil and bean sprouts + a wedge of lime.My gf absolutely loves their salted plum lemonade. Highly recommend giving it a try but order a glass of water to go with it. Note to people who haven't had salted plum lemonade before: the plum is very salty!! Do not attempt to eat it!! (My gf did this bc I forgot to tell her.)
