HPB does a great job. This location has many treasures. The nice thing about used book stores is that if they don't have what you want, new books arrive later. Since this store is busy, new books arrive often.

Sadly, used books stores appear to be a thing of the past, a relic of a bygone era. Visiting Half Price Books is an absolute must if you love books you'll never find on Amazon or at Barnes and Noble. It was such a delight to leisurely stroll the aisles of this place picking up book after book al beckoning , "read me, read me" from endless shelves. This place is big so be prepared to spend time here. An absolute must visit.

This Half Price Books location has lots of goodies. They had a wide range of empty notebooks that had fun, artsy covers. Their mystery section was large, and it had lots of options. Their CD section was also fairly sizable, which was unexpected but appreciated. I bought a Papa Roach CD from here, and it's in perfect condition!

One of the very few bookstores that seem to be left. Centrally located, good atmosphere and ambiance. Music, films, comics, even toys and maps. A well-ventilated and well lit store that has something for almost everyone.

There’s a guy that plays guitar outside which really adds to the Berkeley vibe.
Great selection of books and gifts. They also have calendars, games, card decks, sketchbooks, and notebooks.
The staff are nice and the seasonal displays are cute. Always worth looking around, never know when you’ll find a gem.

Really well priced books! I managed to get 6 books for around $25 with tax. Most of the more used books range from about $3-$5. They also have newer books and new releases for a higher price
