Absolutely incredible experience working with Griffin. Curly is the man, such a fantastic dude, super transparent, honest, knowledgeable, reliable, the list goes on. Everyone else I dealt with was the same. I felt welcomed the minute I walked in, and everyone was friendly and we even got a few jokes in. The car is a million times better now. Quality of work is top notch, and it was cool to see some of the unique fixes that were made to solve weird issues. Also noticed in multiple cases that small extra work was done (like tidying cables) just because the tech was in there. That’s awesome stuff. I can’t say enough about the quality of service and the overall experience. These guys rock.

I’ll start by saying that I like catching people doing things right. After reading all the positive reviews I was really excited to try a new service center instead of the dealership for a 30k service (oil change, fluids, inspection, cabin filters). I scheduled an appointment via email and they asked me to drop the car off first thing in the morning. I was gone most of the day so my girlfriend changed her plans to be able to accommodate the request and I’d pick the car up at the end of the day. Come end of day and I waited 30 minutes for them to finish the car, was shocked at how high the bill was for a standard service, and when I shared the feedback via email I didn’t get a response, which made me wonder if this was their standard of service quality.
I’m guessing (given all the positive reviews) that this was just a bad day, but I won’t be going back.

This place is popular and hard to get an appointment at for a reason! Sure, you could probably get mechanical work done for less at another shop, but the quality of service and attention to detail I had from Griffin was well worth the difference. I came in after my check engine light came on and the team at Griffin were thorough and thoughtful with their attention to detail and quality of service. My advice is that if you notice a problem with your car, make sure to make an appointment as early as possible since, at least in my case, the soonest appointment was ~2 weeks out from when I was booking. I'm sure if you called in you might be able to squeeze in sooner, but I cannot confirm. Special thank you to Natalie! I will definitely be back next time my car starts acting up.

I’ve known of this awesome shop for a while and recently have taken two cars in for PPI services recently. They are very reasonable, knowledgeable, and don’t pressure services that you don’t need. Had a PPI done on a car that I purchased and instead of charging the full amount, they prorated the time since the car was clean and the inspection was overall quicker. Didn’t expect that, but much appreciated!
Being somewhat of a backyard mechanic myself, I like being able to talk to them and get a “real world” idea of what’s happening vs. a normal dealer who is pushing services at the slight notice of something happening.
Highly recommend them for any of your automotive service needs, especially Volkswagen, Audi, and other European brands.

I can't thank Curly and the crew at Griffin for their skill, advice, execution and demeanor. There are very, very few folks I trust poking around in the guts of my .:R32, and I'm super thankful to have gotten the chance to become a client of this werke. There was some complexity to the work I needed performed, and they made it look easy, and made in painless for me. What a great shop.

The guys at Griffin are really knowledgeable and then prices are very reasonable for the bay area. I've taken an Audi R8 there twice for maintenance and they did a wonderful job.

A little over ten years ago I moved to the Bay Area. I've always been a car enthusiast and I do a lot of my own work, so I really appreciate clarity, honesty, and value. When I moved to the East Bay from the South Bay, I was really worried about losing my car shop. It takes so long to find a good mechanic and when you do, it's even harder to let go. After a mediocre experience at another shop in Berkeley (a story for another time), I talked to Griffin about a necessary water pump replacement on my Audi. It's a common repair on these cars unfortunately. It's also very complex and is tough work (tight spaces and fiddly parts). Griffin provided me a very reasonable estimate and stuck to their pricing. They're communicative and have an excellent shop. It's also nice to work with some folks that appreciate and know their way around aftermarket enhancements. I'll be back for my routine service. I'm very impressed and happy with the work.

This place is one of the best places to bring your car if you're an enthusiast and want it to get the best of care. All the people here: including Terry, Curly, Natalie, Parker and Chris are fantastic people. They really pay attention to the things you want and try hard to work with you to get what you want done, in the way you want. I always feel good whenever I'm there, knowing that my car is in good hands. I'm a picky perfectionist but I've never been disappointed with the work they've done.

I have been unlucky with tires on my new vehicle. However, I have been very lucky to find Griffin Motorwerke for all of my tire repairs and replacements. Everyone that works there is incredibly kind and helpful. Especially, Natalie and Righel!

Natalie and team were super responsive from the moment I contacted them via email. Once we had a broad idea of what I wanted fix on my B6 S4, Natalie was able to immediately squeeze me into their calendar, and begin diagnosing the problems I brought up. Throughout the entire process, I received near-daily updates regarding the repairs, observations, and additional work needed to complete the repairs. Although Natalie mentioned they had a busy week, the repairs were complete within a few days after dropping my car off. Awesome service, and even better communications.
