“We are so lucky to live close to Monterey Market. It has a great assortment of fresh vegetables and fruits (virtually every variety includes an organic or pesticide-free
Option. I’ve never had a problem finding someone to help when I’m unsure how to choose for ripeness. We miss Monterey Market when we travel elsewhere in the US!!.”
“Love spending my Thursday evenings checking out the local vendors. There’s a variety of produce, juices, tamales, pastries and sweets to choose from! Everyone is so nice and makes for an enjoyable experience every time :)”
“No battles for parking (use the Safeway lot) - veggies at Yasi -bread at La Farine - vino from Vino and round out your mini trip to France with coffee at Coles. If you try you can hear footsteps on cobblestone.”
“This is the best grocery store in the area. I travel 30 minutes to shop here. Well worth it. Some of the freshest & hugest selection of fruits & vegetables to be found under one roof. The butcher shop in the back of the store is newly remodeled. The butchers are very friendly & helpful with suggestions.”
“Wonderful spot! They have an amazing selection of products, things no other market has. I was surprised to find pasture raised eggs, grass fed beef sticks and other health friendly foods. They also have amazing kombucha on tap. Definitely stop by this place it doesn’t disappoint AND the owner Marcos is the sweetest guy I’ve ever met. 10/10”
“sometimes you forget humanity is here in the Bay Area. Here I was reminded through a lovely French Algerian immigrant family. When I asked about the tea they had, the woman communicated, through gestures and pointing, how she makes her own tea: green tea (Sultan brand), mint, cloves, cinnamon. Everything which is available at the store. Can’t wait!”
“Zaa'tar restaurant inside is a hidden gem. I've had their very delicious and satisfying falafel wrap a few times. Come here for yummy yet nutritious food with a big serving size sold for an affordable price.”
