Wow. I had a medical emergency and had to be taken to the hospital by ambulance. My car was towed here and now I have to pay 420 to get it out. Thanks

These people, I use the term loosely, are worse than any tow company around. Liars, thieves come to mind. Had the money they used loophole to keep me from recovery of my Harley, I.e.steal it from me and did not put it up 4 auction, never to be retrieved. This tow company should be put out business

Although I didn't actaully have any direct business with EBT, it was reccommended to me to call them for advice by the BPD Detective who is working my armed car-jacking case. My vehicle was found a month later in Oakland, and is currently at the tow yard that has the exclusive contract with the city of Oakland to tow/store/auction off similar found vehicles. But in a nutshell, despite being extremely busy, Teresa spent a good 10-15 minutes on the phone with me explaining the ins and outs of this process, my rights and most importantly- the fees I should expect to incur at the other establishment. So I felt compelled to pass on my positive experience- and say that her honesty, sympathy, customer service skills and the decency and respect she offered were completely top-notch. I can't reccommend them high enough- if this is a reflection of how they generally operate, they get 5-stars from me! I just hope that if my car is ever stolen again and is found in Berekeley, it ends up at EBT, instead.

I called a few days in advance to arrange for my car to be towed to my local mechanic shop in Berkeley. They asked good questions regarding the logistics (narrow street / proximity to other cars), car functions (can it be driven onto the truck bed ramp?), and set expectation regarding costs and timing for pickup. While I arranged for pickup after 10:30am, I was pleased to receive a proactive call letting me know of an emergency reroute (and context behind it - child in danger); but even with that reroute, the truck arrived just after 11:15am. The driver was very customer-oriented (apologized for being late despite the circumstances), worked with me while I managed through a work call, and clearly communicated what I could expect. I received an immediate text message once signing over the car, and another one once the car arrived at the shop - to include photos of the car at the garage. I'm impressed with how this operation works.

09/10/2022Early this morning, sometime before 9:00AM, East Bay Tow, working for an organized crime ring known as the City of Berkeley, illegally towed my vehicle. I was legally parked on Bancroft Way and they towed mine and other's vehicles from Bancroft Way to Fulton Street by Edwards Stadium, approximately 3 blocks from where I parked. There were signs this morning posted about no parking for CAL football games, that were not there last night, but sometime this morning. The City of Berkeley parking enforcement lied straight to my face that those signs had been up for 4 weeks. They're not fooling me or anyone else. I'm charged a citation for $65 from the City and $220 from East Bay Tow. We're in a recession and you're stealing peoples' cars, money, and time. If I could give you no stars, I would. If anyone else has been negatively affected by this scummy tow company, let your righteous anger be known. Don't do business with them. If your insurance company sends them, refuse them. If your insurance company refuses to send a different company, fire your insurance company. These roaches only get away with it when we don't stand up to them and reject them.I'm going to be damn sure that if these people come to help, I will tell them to drive on. You roaches do nothing but steal from poor and working-class people. Refund my money and go away!Update 9/15/22Well, at least you're honest about stealing people's cars and money for 28 years. Not sure why you're proud of that, but then again you're evil so I guess you would be proud of that. And there you have it people, that's who East Bay Tow is, bullies stealing cars and taking $220 from you.You have an outstanding bad karma balance and you're not going to be able to afford that tab when karma comes to collect.

There is no better towing company in the area. Their prices are very reasonable, their drivers are highly skilled and their staff is top notch. They are not a big company. But, what they lack in size they more than make up for in quality. They are the only towing company in the area that I recommend for people to use for any and all of their towing needs. If I could rate them higher than 5 stars, I absolutely would.

Calling a tow company generally means your day is already going bad. However, Teresa on the other end of the phone helps ease the pain. The service was on time, reliable, and as promised. 5 star tow company for me.

My vehicle was towed last weekend under unfortunate circumstances, and further circumstances made it very difficult for me to reclaim it. Teresa went out of her way to brainstorm solutions, and show compassion and true understanding of my problems. It was a shitty situation made at least a little better by the genuine human kindness she showed, and I am deeply appreciative. She and her crew are efficient and professional, and I would not hesitate to use this company again under better circumstances.

The very worst. Zero ethics, predatory (don't worry, I have specifics). Crushed you in court with an attorney that was way out of your league. Keep breathing those cancerous fumes in your work place, and stop acting like you're in business to help people, what a joke!
