Great local store - always nice to support an Oakland business. The employee (I think her name was Scout) was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and was able to assist my mother and I with a purchase. Would go again!

Love this place. I tried on two of the same shirt, one in a size small and one in a size medium. I accidentally put the wrong one back and ended up buying the wrong size. when I came back a couple days later, they let me exchange it super easily since the tags were all still on. Thank you so much for the easy process and good customer service! I didn't get the name of whoever helped me with the exchange, but the person who originally helped me was Maya and she's super friendly and gives awesome service.

This is a great little store with lots of all-cotton clothes, which is hard to find these days. The fabric is good quality and the clothes are comfy, with nice colors (they make their own dyes). They can do custom orders too, and you can order online and have your order shipped anywhere. It's just so nice to be able to buy locally made clothes that last for years!

Definitely is a local store you should stop by especially you are from out of state, must see!!! Can you imagine there is still a shop selling the garment making by themselves on earth ? From cut , sewing to dyeing the color. Absolutely unique place for you to shop or visit. A proud of Berkeley !

The name says it all! I stopped in and was delighted to find my favorite brand of cotton underwear, it se bit se. The shop also has a great selection of cotton yoga pants. The shopping experience is pleasant and the salesperson is very nice.

I love this place! I have been coming here for years for all my cotton clothing. Shirts, dresses, sweat pants, socks, underwear, and sweaters. I hate the branding that many companies use, which is awesome that Cotton Basics doesn't do that! Just simple, natural fiber clothes. And they are made locally, this place is a local gem that isn't advertised or too busy but it should be! Decent pricing for local goods too.
