I went to 3 different Concentra locations to try to get my preemployment exam and tests done. They don’t send the blood tests out until after 2, the doctors( or doctor equivalents) may or may not be available without waiting for hours.I arrived at one location at 2:30p and told I was too late for blood test or physical exam. I arrived at a different location the next day at 12:45 and was told there was a 3 hour wait.Finally I showed up and lined up at the front door of a third location at 7:50am and still had a 2 hour wait but at least I got everything done. The physician (I think she was a physician) was not very communicative (never got her name) and did a cursory exam at best.Th waiting areas are unpleasant in 2 of the 3 I visited and was barely acceptable in the third.I honestly would never go to a concentra location unless you absolutely had to.

The wait times are always extremely long to even get into a room. Then, you have to wait longer in a VERY cold room. I was there for 2 hours even though I had an appointment. I was glad that I brought my jacket. The chairs in the exam rooms are not cushioned, which is understandable to a point, however, it is very uncomfortable to sit for long periods. Especially with a back injury. The Berkeley location needs at least one or two more doctors. As for the doctor, Dr. Mott does not have a very personable bedside manner. Not even any smalltalk beyond, "Hi. How are you doing." She typed a LOT on the computer without even asking me more than literally two questions. So much so that I thought she must be catching up on work from previous patients or worrying a paper of some sort. In addition, I was shocked when she farted multiple times! She didn't even acknowledge it even though they were very audible and wet sounding. If she had issues with something like that, that's fine. We're all human, BUT at least let a patient know so that we have a choice of staying and dealing with it or not. Better yet, leave the room if that's going to happen. She could have just excused herself for a few moments. I will be having my additional follow up appointments at a different location and with a different doctor.

The wait time was very long! Communication about the wait times would have been great! This was a walk in clinic, I showed up at 10:30am - after taking Uber there when I was told they were going to lunch and I had to come back at 2 PM! When I arrived at 2pm, I ended up leaving after 5 PM! This was unreasonable to me

I had to come to this urgent care for a preemployment physical. As can be expected, wait times at pretty much any urgent care are always pretty long. I was there for over 3 hours.. but that wasn’t the problem. The problem is that they put me in the room after being in the waiting room for an hour and it was freezing. I sit in that cold room for another hour. The doctor pops in and is obviously on autopilot. She’s in the room for maybe five minutes and then just leaves without saying a word to me. I sit and wait for another hour until the MA comes in and tells me I can leave… I’m like oh ok… I would not go here if it weren’t out of necessity for my job.

Doctor made-up stuff in report, mumbled even though I asked her to repeat herself and speak up a dozen times, repeatedly kept referring to the physical therapy company I had already been going to as “out of network” which is a lie and illegal unfair business practice, then tried to get me to see Maria in their PT department right then for “20 minutes” and when I said no thanks I am happy with where I am going she told Maria to call me under the guise that I requested an appointment, which I did not. Restraint of trade and unfair business practices. Receptionist acted as if we were putting her out when trying to get them to accept my authorization to go there to see the doctor. It had been sent to the Richmond office for reasons unknown since I live in Berkeley but apparently having that office send it to the berkeley office was out of the question. My nurse case manager kept trying to call them but couldn’t get through to them on the phone so I kept having to hand them my phone so that I could talk to her through my phone and they didn’t like that at all

My doctor ordered a special blood test that has to be processed at a lab out of state. Concentra is the closest location that will draw the blood and ship it for me. I walked in and was just totally grossed out by the place. Everything was so dirty, they were dust bunnies everywhere, and the floor looks like it hadn't been cleaned in a year. There's no way I would trust these people to safely draw my blood! I feel bad for the Worker's Comp patients who have to go here.

I had am 8am scheduled appt. After sitting in the waiting room for 45 min I enquired about the time. I was informed they do not take appts for physicals. I said, “that may be true, but I have confirmation on my email of the confirmed appt, would you like to see?” The girl proceeded to roll her eyes, look away and ignore me. I said, “can you at least give me a time frame. I am a visiting nurse and have patients of my own to see”. Again, very rude, to say the least, stated I would be next. 9:30 I was taken back. To my surprise, when the doctor finally came in what met me was astonishing. I first noticed the fact that she was morbidly obese then I was able to take in the wrinkled clothing and scuffed dirty shoes. Really? This person is going to determine if I am fit to work as a nurse? She was at least mildly pleasant. I left having to scurry and rearrange my patients for the day. Our actions have consequences at the hand of those that receive them. I am not one to jump to write about poor performance. I would rather encourage, praise, and give gratitude. I hope this review helps this office and company learn to do better.

The receptionist took a while to recognize me while she was on the cell phone for a while…after filling out the form, it still took sometime to be called and I had to ask that I have to be somewhere after waiting 15mins….the actual person handling the drug test was fine.

Initially showed up, was asked to come back when a provider would be available, did as requested. BP is never checked after blood work, testing etc. Was in exam room waiting for MD for 45 min. Work up completed as needed but not efficiently.

This is long over due. Went there over a year ago, I had to do a full exam for work. Waited and was forgotten about in one of their exam rooms. Got there right at opening left around 1 pm. I had to do an annual exam (blood work required) for just health. I was beyond petrified because of the horrible experience I had here. I don't give blood often. But my god they did a horrible job here. I was bruised for days!!!!! I just had my blood drawn at quest and they did an amazing job. One shot and done. No bruising after. I'll attach photos of my arm after I was done at this place

I came here for a pre-employment physical, a quantiferon gold blood test, a color blind vision screen and a drug test prior obtaining hospital privileges. The lady at the front desk could not figure out how to order these tests and said she would have to check me for them individually, which was just too burdensome for her to do. Isn't this what the clinic is there for? This is not an unusual list of items. After 40 minutes of back and forth, I went to a different concentra clinic and they were able to handle it just fine and didn't even bat an eye at the request. I would skip this one.

Absolutely terrible experience. I had an 0800 am appt. They were terribly rude to me even though I had email proof of my app stating I do not have an appt. I asked a few times about how long it will take, they practically ignored me. I explained I have patients to see myself and will need to begin reorganizing my day if they could give me an idea...crickets. Still waiting, over an hour has gone by. I would never come here, nor would they be in business if they did not service employers.

“I had a fantastic experience at Concentra on 6th Street in Berkeley, California. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a friendly and efficient receptionist who made the check-in process a breeze. Maybe it was just the day but I only needed to do blood work and waited over an hour. After 30 min or so I asked the receptionist more or less how long it might be and she said she had no idea - whether it would be minutes or hours. I also observed her turning away a Latina woman who didn’t speak english - when someone stepped in to translate she reluctantly made room for her. I understand it’s a walk up clinic - and they don’t take appointments but seems they could do much better at treating the people who show up there with basics of care and courtesy. The woman who did the blood work was kind and efficient.UPDATE: my blood work needed to be sent by fed ex that day in a pre-paid envelope they were given. I asked the person doing the blood draw if they would be able to get the sample out in time. She assured me they would. The lab it was being shipped to just informed me that THE SAMPLE WAS SHIPPED 10 DAYS AFTER BEING TAKEN. Completely unusable. I will have to do it again. If I could give zero stars I would.
