We took our broken microwave, flat screen and computer here! People are very helpful and friendly. It’s a bit hidden but really organized and an easy drop off point to e-waste! So grateful to have this place in the East Bay!

Friendly staff helped unload the items from my car. I donated old computers, a TV, and printer all still working but no longer used. I hope useful items can be used by others and not just recycled. Please respond if working electronics should be donated somewhere else.

I'm moved to write this review, despite previous trips over the years that were also smooth and the people were also helpful and professional, was the way the person this time responded when I asked about recycling an, um, embarrassing personal appliance. I was mortified and had procrastinated for years figuring out how to get rid of it; the guy who took care of it was matter-of-fact and didn't blink an eye. So grateful!

Employees are friendly and always do good job loading me. I give 5 stars for this reason only.Coming here in a semi can be a challenge until you have done it once or twice. It’s better than it was not long ago as City made many of the homeless move out of the way. They are still on the streets nearby, yet don’t impede getting parked along the curb next to this business. The guys here help stop cars if needed and help guide you whether you need them to or not.

Didn't know what to do with my broken 50" flat screen tv. Found this place online. It was super easy, just drove through, they took the tv from my trunk, and I headed out. No need to call ahead and looks like they are there all day. Right off the highway.

Fast, easy, convenient and quick. it's a drive through, you pull in, someone helps you with your stuff and off you go. if it's not recyclable, they will let you know on the spot and give you advice on what to do with it.

Fabulous! I wanted to dispose of two old computers I've had in my closet for years, but was hesitant because they still had their hard drives inside. Neither one could be powered on, so that presented an issue. I called CTRC and they told me that they could remove the hard drives for me and keep the chassis, which worked out great as I needed to free up room for storage. When I arrived at the location, I was greeted by a friendly young man who, in 5 minutes or less, removed both hard drives. My 5-star rate is for efficiency, expertise, and excellent customer service. I will definitely go back if I want the hard drives destroyed or need to recycle other electronics.

Everything about the process for removing and recycling my ancient Sony Trinitron TV was wonderful! I submitted my request, they emailed me a possible pick up time, I confirmed and Voila! they arrived right on time, put on their masks, loaded the behemoth onto their dolly, graciously took other e-waste I had piled up, and hauled it away. Fast, friendly and free!

A quick web search got me to the Yelp site for Bay Area electronic waste disposal, and this was the first or second place I clicked on. I called, confirmed the details, and a few hours later swung by. They took a broken old device off my hands for free in a quick drive by.

Great place to drop off old electronics, both working and non-workingStill relevant electronics will find their way to usefulness, and older stuff gets disposed of properly.Took then a while for them to get a hard drive out from a sturdy laptop (to wipe the drive), but they were vigilant and succeeded!

Responding to E&A Stardust's post: CTRC does not charge for listed acceptable items (see website). Either we accept it for free or we don't take it. I'm afraid E&A mistakenly went to the short lived "for profit" company that was across the street. CTRC charges a fee for data destruction ($10 per hard drive) and nothing else. We do appreciate cash donations to help keep this service free of charge! Any items or cash donated are tax deductible.

I tried forever to give my SD television away but unfortunately I could not find anyone who was interested in taking it. Lucky for me this dropoff center exists and I was able to give my TV to it. Shame it had to end that way, but I am glad to know there are experts who can at least help me get rid of it in some responsible manner. Plus, they have a wicked statue out front made of circuit boards, worth the visit alone. Thanks!
