This is a first for me dear readers. I have never, repeat NEVER given a one star rating and it pains me now to do so. In this case, however, the rating is justified. The issue stems from trying to obtain a replacement part for a platform bed that was previously purchased from CB2. Crate and Barrel refused to help source or replace the parts because according to them "the useful life of the product (a platform bed) is over, and it is not their responsibility." Really after eight years - how pathetic! Equally awful is the manufacturer won't provide the dimensions for the one part for fear of losing their propriety information. Again, the Crate and Barrel customer service team felt this is justified. So I ask is this the kind of supplier you would source your products from? Finally, and this is laughable - as a "loyal customer" they offered me 10 percent discount off the full price of the replacement bed even though it is on sale for 20 percent off. Talk about clueless. So my friends and readers - there are lots of places to choose from to spend your hard earned resources - buyer beware!

This location is on my favorite street in Berkeley. I've spent many years frequenting the restaurants and seeing 4th street evolve. But one thing remains, this location has some of the rudest staff, they never greet you on arrival or interact with you as you are amongst the store. It's dead inside this store; zero enthusiasm with customers which honestly makes you not want to buy anything. When you initiate conversation or ask a question, the responses are flat and don't feel welcoming. I went into the store today, same vibe- no acknowledgment that you're in the store, not a single greeting from a single employee. With the closure of the San Francisco location and challenges for retail as a whole in The Bay, you would think that there would be some sense of care or simple customer service. The rest of the block is super nice and welcoming, always helpful- this location is not, nor has it ever been. Be warned if you go in. They are not helpful or friendly at all here.

Since moving to Sacramento this is now my closest cb2. I’m a big fan, but since cb2 never displays their entire collection in stores or keeps stock of furniture in store most of my purchases are online. The Berkeley location is a nice size but the drive from Sacramento is too far for in-store pickup effectively making it more expensive. The return policies on shipped items (that you’ve never seen) is not good. Retuning will cost you even if never opened or just took a peek. They deduct return shipping and don’t refund shipping to you. Hard to understand how non locals can realistically shop there. Considering Sacramento is top relocation destination for Bay Area residents it’s surprising they have no presence here. On the plus side the Vacaville Crate&Barrel Outlet often has a large cb2 selection.

Limited display items. Little pricey. One can visit and decide.

Great customer service did not expect to my issue to be resolved as quickly and seamlessly. Had an issue with an order, called to see if I could switch the purchase for a new one (within 30 days of purchase) without issue. The store even put it on hold to allow time for our contractor to remove the item to be swapped.Yvonne (the person who answered the phone) if you're reading this you went above and beyond!

Marko and team were a joy to work with. They were very helpful loading a heavy marble table into my car and making sure it was secure. Got a great deal on a floor model!

Dennis helped my girlfriend and I find special pieces for our home. Being an LGBTQ+ individual has its perks. We are design oriented and always have outstanding rooms modeled after Frank Lloyd Wright. Dennis was well versed in specific openings, light design and splashes of Cherokee red.Outstanding customer service, too. Dennis will take great care of you and your needs. Cheers!

Extremely disappointing experience. I went in person to order a desk and the employees were less than helpful. To make matters worse, I was given a delivery window in December, only to find out in mid December that the desk was now back ordered and will not ship till July!!! They did not even have the courtesy to send any notice of the delay. I even asked if they were willing to sell the floor sample as a compromise and they refused since they are still trying to sell a severely back ordered item unsuspecting customers! Take your money elsewhere - there are much better mid to high end furniture stores.

Note: this review is entirely for their interior design services. Their designer (Conrad) was unprofessional, unresponsive, and ended up ghosting us after wasting our time and providing absolutely nothing. Better not to waste your time with their interior design services.

I thought the folks at CB2 were attentive. My bf and I walked in prior to the thanksgiving break. We were looking for a new couch and a new dining table. The lady have a pretty good run down of all the different sets of furniture. She even put together a couple of swatches for us Togo. I think it's important to buy from the store, or call back the associate that helped because as she mentioned, they wouldn't want to lose this physical location. I assume that is how they make their commissions/ sales goals.

Excellent customer service and beautiful and high quality stuff. I recommend you sign up for their double rewards points sales when buying expensive stuff and use the cash rewards for stuff you need anyway - they come pretty quickly after the initial purchases.

HORRIFIC experience with CB2 customer service. We ordered online, so this doesn't pertain to this particular location. The couch we ordered arrived with a bent leg. Customer service said they were sending a replacement which we waited all day for meanwhile no delivery was made. Then we were told they were out of stock completely and needed to pick up the damaged couch. We had to stay home to facilitate their picking up of said couch. The delivery people scratched our front door on the way out. All the hours spent on hold and speaking with customer service, us being used as storage for their damaged couch, them holding onto our money until they picked up the damaged couch (which tied our money up that could have been used towards another couch), and now 4 months later not having a couch to show for it. Customer service offered 20% off (a joke considering the website is offering 15% off), free shipping (I'm sure this actually costs them close to nothing), and a small gift card. My time is worth more than what you cost me. Never again!!!

Placed order for a bed in May and was promised a delivery in June. Come August, still no delivery yet. Delivery is now delayed by 2 months. Stay away from this scam.(Edit 1: the estimated delivery date is now pushed back again to make it a total of 4 months or more waiting before we can finally get our bed. Meanwhile, we're sleeping on the floor. Terrible!!! I wish google offered 0 stars.)(Edit 2: the order has gotten delayed yet again for the 4th time now and making this a total of 5 months delay. Absolute nightmare scenario!!!)

They don’t accept returns, even small furniture like a nightstand. Asking $250 to ship back for the return. Terrible service.
