I love the bohemian designs! These clothes take casual to the level of chic.

Quite simoly, one of my newest favourites.. The sheer confidence of someone making oversize but comfortable clothing with prices that reflect both maturity with class. This is the brand's flagship and original store an I am a fan. This store is better stocked and more varied than the Palo Alto store. I found the Russian sales woman very smart, honest when some colours did not suit me and well informed about other brands that I may like. Bryn Walker is a wonderful brand.. not for the faint hearted.. oversized and timeless .. very distinctive and tres tres chic..

I also love the creative flair, the flattering styles, and the out of the box fashion for those of us who either need elastic in the waist area or who appreciate it. The linen is delicious, lasts well, and this is a favorite destination of mine when in the Berkeley area. I particularly have fine things to say about both Rita and Irena. Both were gracious, helpful without being intrusive and generous with their time. Truly, I'm amazed at the negative feedback online. I really think someone must be mistaking store or location. And in any case, I have nothing but the best feedback to give.

I love the creative flair that Bryn Walker brings to comfortable clothing for a wide range of women. Trying on their clothes feels like a game of dress-up, and the salespeople love to suggest fun combinations and styles I may not normally consider. The store is tiny but cozy, like hanging out in a dream walk-in closet.

Since when Bryn Walker has chosen to sell spandex? I have chosen to shop there because of the cotton and linen selection. Since when have they allowed customers to bring dogs into the store? The space is cramped and crowded as it is. The changing rooms are inadequate and a strange dog poking its nose in through the curtain could terrify some customers. I will thank the sales lady who helped me dress. The cubicle was cramped and I am disabled and it was an awkward situation. I DID buy something. But what happened to what what used to be a welcoming and pleasant experience?

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! To make a long story short, the saleswoman completely ignored me. It was ridiculous. She never spoke to me. No one else was shopping and she wasn't doing anything, just standing there. It was like she was in a trance. This made me very upset. I walked out and said "thank you" as I often do to salespeople when I'm leaving because it's polite, and she never said anything even then. I know working retail can suck ,and it's hard to be nice all the time. But to be downright rude is unacceptable especially to someone nice like me!!! Ugh! I do judge stores on customer service skills and I'll tell you why: I have worked retail, and restaurants in my past. The fact is, 99% of the time if the salespeople suck - so does the owner. The same goes for restaurants, if you get bad servers/service - its usually because the chef is a j*** (and probably so is the owner who hired the j*** chef)... If you are looking for cute clothes and GREAT customer device, across the street and down towards Shattuck, there is a lovely larger clothing/shoe store that has some fun items as well as basics.

If you like Bryn Walker and I do, shop at Walnut Creek and Palo Alto if you can. Stopped by this store briefly at 5:50pm on a Saturday night while visiting a lighted holiday 4th Steet in Berkeley. All signs indicated store were open until 7:00pm. Regardless, the time was 5:50 and regular closing hours posted on door were 6:00pm. As soon as I opened the unlocked door I heard "we're closing in 5 minutes". I said that I thought the stores were open until 7:00pm because of the holiday and the reply was 'that's what they think', do you see anyone walking around?" Did I get the @4S! out of there! Advice to small business folks: Close when you actually what us 'riff, raff' out of your store. We may buy something and take some of your precious time. Hopefully, you won't get this attitude at PA or WC.

I love this store......I have shopped there back as far as Pacific Cotton. The sales people are super friendly and always helpful:):) I live in North Berkeley & enjoy shopping locally at this store. They are always willing to check with the other Bryn Walker stores if they don't have a piece you want in a particular size or color. Highly recommended!

I have always loved this store, with its casual, drapey clothes. They are washable, and fit my current granny-nanny lifestyle. I almost always stop in when I go to the Peet's where my "real" coffee cherry was popped in 1969. Today I purchased a great solid green top that is a "nicer" sweatshirt...and can not wait to head out the door with my great spring find!! Berkeley shopping is the best!
