SCAM DON’T GO!!!They said my theft deterrent plate was a modification to my car (it’s not) and because they entered it into the system my registration is an extra ~$100 each time. They aren’t supposed to service Priuses but they still do it anyway (I had a judgement filed against them). Guy that did it refused to give me a smog certificate, charged me for it, and still works there Servicing’s PriusesLook at the other recent reviews for similar bad experience

Avoid! Unsafe and total lack of customer service re: a crime at pump. My friend was violently mugged inside their car at this station recently. Passenger door was unlocked and mugger got laptop inside bag in seconds. After the traumatic incident, Clerk inside didn’t take any action to call police or offer help, including providing phone # at station to make contact with station owner for video. Berkeley Police eventually got video footage and is investigating.

This gas station's gas is DILUTED.I ve been fueling at this gas station for a long time until I noticed that it always runs empty quicker than when fueled at any other gas stations. So I ve taken my odometer reading after each fuel for the past three months and compared mpg between here and all the other gas stations (shell, chevron, costco, alliance, etc).While all the other gas stations yield a very constant mpg (around 19.7-19.8 mpg), this gas station yields a shockingly low 15.6mpg. It might look cheaper per tank but the dollar per mile driven is actually a lot more expensive since it's diluted down.Go to the other gas stations if you really want to save up $$. Or take your own odometer and do the math!

we love coming here for cheap gas but today when using my card at pump #6 the card reader asked for my pin twice, thankfully i decided to pull the card and pay cash bc when i got home i had a notification someone tried to charge/scam $150 on my card.

I have been going here religiously for four years, but I am BEGGING you to avoid this place. The price is not worth what the repairs on your car may cost! Three days ago I fueled up here and the pump was going incredibly slowly. Immediately after leaving the station, my car starting jerking and RPMs would go to 0 when I idled, leaving my car unable to accelerate while I was on Ashby (a busy road!). I took it to a mechanic and they said the gas was contaminated with water. Cost $500 to diagnose and to fix. I've called the station three times so they can check it out and so this won't happen to others and they have not answered the phone.

Don’t come here! First of all you can tell the guy working there has absolutely no interest in being there. I went to get my smog checked a few days ago and they refused to honor the coupon they posted online. So after 15 mins of him fiddling with my car he says he had to abort the test and I have to come back the next day so he can try it out with a new machine. I come back the next day and after waiting for 40 mins, he tells me that he had to abort the test again and to actually come back again next week because that’s when the new machine is actually arriving.So not only has he wasted two of my evenings, he has the audacity to charge me for it! When I tell him he didn’t do anything, he tells me “I could have failed you, you know”. So don’t come here unless you want to be charged to watch some guy twiddle his thumbs and be miserable.I ended up going to another smog check place up west near Chevron that charged me less, took considerably less time, was far more friendly, and had zero problems.

Very rude and unprofessional. Customer service 00.refuses to take small change.the gas it’s cheap but the quality 00 anytime i fill up whole tank it doesn’t less comparing to other places.

Berkeley Gas and Smog has the most affordable gas in the area. I also got my smog check done here, and the staff was very helpful.

The absolute nasty & worst store you can ever go to. The management of gas station is a joke and the store is always filthy. Never again i will give my money to this business.
