I recently had the pleasure of interacting with Brenda Guerrero multiple times at this particular branch in Berkeley, and I must say, she truly exceeded my expectations in every way possible. From the moment I spoke with her, she greeted me with a warm smile and made me feel instantly welcomed.
What stood out most about Brenda was her exceptional knowledge and professionalism. She patiently listened to my concerns and questions, providing clear and thorough explanations that helped me navigate through some complex banking matters. Her expertise was evident as she effortlessly guided me through the process, ensuring I understood each step along the way.
Beyond her technical skills, Brenda's friendly demeanor and positive attitude made my visit to the bank a truly pleasant experience.
Overall, Brenda's professionalism, expertise, and commitment to customer service set a benchmark for excellence in banking. She is a valuable asset to Bank of America, and I look forward to my future interactions knowing that I am in capable hands. If you're looking for outstanding service with a smile, I highly recommend visiting Brenda Guerrero at your earliest convenience.

Every time I come to this branch I usually give up before i make it to the front of the line. Working class, older people ..waiting, trying to give business to BOA and maybe thinking this is normal or have no choice? Always just one or two staff, no matter the line.

This is the one Bank of America branch in the area where I can complete all of my banking chores. It has a good balance of business hours and wait times. The staff are all nice, competent, and courteous. Wait times are not bad. It's the one branch where I leave feeling accomplished. The interior has been recently renovated so it looks nice too.

The worst bank to deal with by far and it's getting worse. The atms NEVER work and nobody ever works inside. Wouldn't recommend Bank of America especially this location .

During a recent wire transfer, I had an outstanding experience at this bank branch. The staff, especially Erica, were friendly, helpful, and professional, going above and beyond to provide excellent customer service. Erica’s efficient service and warm smile stood out as exceptional, as did the team’s commitment to ensuring that all my needs were met. They worked together seamlessly, demonstrating their professionalism and dedication to their work. As a result of their outstanding service, I am now a loyal customer and highly recommend this location for all banking needs.

I had an exceptional experience yesterday with Erica Ortega, who greeted me at the door, ensured I was able to complete opening an account and operating the mobile app, and even waited with me as I completed a transaction with a teller. I have another account with a competitor bank, but her exceptional customer service has convinced me that BoA should have my service. All staff at the bank I interacted with were courteous and kind.

Half hour in line with 3 people in front of me and was just there to get quarters. Short staffed and poorly managed branch store.

I have an Alaska Air Visa with B of A. They just cost themselves a customer with a couple of bad moves. First, because we are moving onto a boat to cruise for a few years, we are paying our bill online, using our checking account. It not only took over a week for B of A to process this ($11,000+, and we had the funds in the bank--not our biggest bill this year of getting a boat ready to live on)--but every other day I got an email telling me I should pay my bill before the due date! as if I had not already done so. Finally, we went over our credit limit. Shockingly over. But I (the family accountant) didn't notice, and B of A didn't bother to tell me. Oh, sure, lotsa emails about paying a bill I had already paid, but nothing about the fact that they were going to cut me off. Last night at the grocery store: credit card refused, for the first time in my 45 years of having credit cards, for a $25 purchase. The payment is supposed to go through tomorrow. I'm getting an Amazon Visa instead. B of A lost my business. I left them in 1974, too, for sloppy business practices; I would not have used them but wanted the Alaska Air card. I won't use them again. Find someone else--even Chase.

My issue is not with this particular branch of BofA, but there is no place to write a review for the BofA in general. Since unemployment insurance payments started for the Covid-19 situation, EDD issued BofA debit cards. Until now, I've had to take the card to my bank and personally have a teller transfer the funds from the BofA debit card to my account. However, I got an e-mail today telling me that I can accomplish that by logging onto BofA and going through a couple of steps to authorize the transfer. However, BofA doesn't accept the username or password that I set up earlier and there is absolutely NO WAY of reaching them for help, since they don't provide a phone number or e-mail option. This experience reminds me of why I dumped BofA years ago, having been a customer for 40 years. Since it moved HQ from San Francisco to North Carolina, it's shown no interest in helping ordinary people, but rather focuses on major corporations. A.P. Giannini must have been rolling in his grave for decades now. It's definitely not the bank he founded for working people.

I understand that with the Covid pandemic that the branch may not be open, however, there is no excuse that the ATMs are not open, can't take deposits or dispense money!! WTF!! I use a bank so that I can conveniently get cash, and this branch and the one in Emeryville are both closed. Seems like discrimination to low income neighborhoods.

If I could give 0 stars I would! Me and my partner went here to cash his paycheck, a Bank of America check. After waiting almost 40 minutes to have them "verify" the check they told him they could not cash "for confidential reasons". I 100% believe this was due to judgement of his appearance (we work in a stable so our clothes are quite dirty) and she believed he was check kiting. We work very hard for our money and I have never been so offended in all my years of banking and have never been treated so rudely!
