I purchased a Bosch dishwasher from airport appliance late August of 2024. I purchase it from the Emeryville location.
We had substantial issues with scheduling a delivery and my salesman, Elliot Jones was highly unresponsive. It delayed our delivery nearly 2 weeks. After we had the dishwasher delivered, we found it to be dead on arrival.
After notifying Airport Appliance, customer service representatives were incredibly slow to respond and never in communication sync on the next step or course of action. We received the same communication on service visits and never any proactive work to repair the unit with Bosch. After 4 more weeks and 3 service visits, Airport Appliance still has not managed to facilitate the repair or replacement of our dishwasher. Bosch has been unhelpful as well. Alkesh Shrivastava, and Dipanker Das have been weak advocates for us with Bosch, continuing to provide stale information on our repair.
I'm incredibly disappointed with the entirety of Airport Appliance. I've spoken to over 10 representatives at this point and exchanged over 20 emails. It's been 61 days since I've purchased the dishwasher and I've spent the better part of 15 hours on the phone with Airport Appliance and Bosch.
TL;DR: Airport appliance has some great prices but absolutely horrendous customer service when things are not going well.

Todd, our sales guy, went above and beyond to help us with both a Fridge and a dishwasher. We decided to buy an exceptionally large fridge. When it was delivered, the delivery guy was scared to take it out of the box because it looked from the package dimensions like it might not fit.
Todd hopped on faceTime with me, brought a measuring tape to the showroom floor, and helped me confirm the dimensions. Once both the delivery guy and I were satisfied it would in fact fit, he went ahead and installed it.
It's a close fit for sure, but it fits. Looks great!
I'm very appreciative of the personalized attention that I wouldn't have received at a big box national competitor.

Horrendous customer service. Their delivery department notified us of a 30 day holding period after our items were received by the warehouse. Construction delays on our end meant we needed to wait a few weeks after they came in stock. We weren't called or notified when they sold the units they ordered for us to someone else, and didn't even bother to place another order to replace what was sold. We had to call multiple times to inquire about the missing items, only to be met with shrugs, and then be told it's our fault we ran out the clock and "I don't know who told you 30 days." Very rude service to simply pass the buck like that rather than offer to rectify the situation. The manager assured us there's "nothing to make right." No apology for not being notified that our items had been sold, they simply said we would need to wait another 3 weeks. We cancelled our order.

I purchased a refrigerator to replace my existing one. My existing unit has water and ice maker, was told by the sales person that nothing more need to be done. On arrival with the unit the delivery people looked in the back of my old refrigerator, saw that the line was plastic and stated it need to be copper and they could not touch it. From there we called the sales person where an argument between the sales and delivery person ensued. The sales person told me to come and pick up a piece of steel hose, which I did. the delivery people in the mean time threaten me with a host of fees if I did not allow them to put the new unit in my garage, which I did. As it stands I have the unit in my garage and a series of emails claiming the unit was delivered/installed and I am very confused and disappointed.

The first frig we had delivered had factory damage and damage by the mover. I called the Emeryville store where it was purchased and within a few hours we had a new delivery set up. The second mover was much more careful and meticulous. I plan to report the first mover to the store. The only reason I did not give five stars is because of the factory damage and first delivery. My experience purchasing the appliance and the handling of the damaged fridge and subsequent replacement delivery would get five stars.

They refuse to give me a partial refund on a damaged fridge in which their manager Michael said he would follow through and honor. Now I’m stuck with a fridge that has a defect.
Zack has been useless and has stopped responding. They also no longer answer my phone calls. Do not shop here. They are literally the worst.

We bought a GE Washer and dryer set. The shopping and buying experience with Airport was very good though a bit slow on the paperwork end, and the delivery service was excellent. Our salesperson Zak was knowledgeable and patient, thank you Zak! Thank you Airport Home Appliance.

I bought a washer dryer here and I tried to buy a stove. Really poor customer service. I was not kept appraised of month-long delay of stove and the washer was delivered damaged. It took TWELVE phone calls and seven days to get someone to help me replace the defective washer. I would never use them again.

I recently had the pleasure of interacting with two outstanding individuals at Airport Appliance Emeryville store whose commitment to customer satisfaction left a lasting impression on me. Despite encountering challenges due to errors made by their colleagues, the efforts of and Lauren Byers to rectify the situation were truly commendable. Her willingness to listen, empathize, and take decisive action exemplified true leadership and commitment to excellence.
Upon realizing that my order had been mishandled by another staff member, Steven Stafford immediately took ownership of the issue and went above and beyond to find a solution. His professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine concern for my satisfaction were evident throughout the entire process. Despite facing adversity, Steven remained calm, courteous, and dedicated to ensuring that my needs were met.
I would avoid other sales people and go directly to Steven!

My recent visit to Airport Appliance left me deeply disappointed and frustrated. What began as a simple transaction quickly spiraled into a nightmarish ordeal, marred by incompetence and aggression.
Upon entering the store, I entrusted Elliot Jones with processing my order for a new hood. Unfortunately, despite his assurances, my order was neglected not once, but twice. This oversight resulted in significant inconvenience and wasted time on my part.
To compound matters, the manager, Michael Jenkins, failed to fulfill his promise to rectify the situation. Instead of addressing the issue, Mr. Jenkins responded with aggression and outright refusal when I politely requested an apology for the mishandling of my order.
The lack of reliability and accountability demonstrated by both Mr. Jenkins and Mr. Jones is profoundly disappointing. As a customer, I expected professionalism, yet this was sorely lacking throughout this ordeal.
Regrettably, this egregious experience has shattered my confidence in Airport Appliance. Despite my initial support for local businesses, I have been left with no choice but to request a refund. It saddens me to sever ties with a local establishment, but the mistreatment I endured leaves me with no alternative.
I hope this feedback prompts a serious evaluation of customer service practices at Airport Appliance. No customer should be subjected to such incompetence and aggression.
