I always loved this place and talked so highly of Doctor Riddle! She was always so professional and treated me with so much kindness. I am so disappointed with what I just went through now that she is gone. I was treated with zero respect and was mid conversation when the assist handed over the phone. Once the doctor came on the phone she treated me as if i hadn't been already dealing with this issue for some time. Instead of being considerate and empathetic of what I am going through with this sensitive situation, she was rude and extremely unprofessional. Then again handed the phone over while I was mid conversation to another assistant. At this point I am sad to say I will never recommend this place nor go back. We miss you Dr. Riddle.

Came here since I saw symptoms of a UTI in my dog. Everything was fine until the bill came. The fee for the visit alone was $99.50. The two other items included a urine test which was close to $400 and the actual pill for I believe $27. I looked at the price of the urine test knowing there was no way I could afford that. I asked if I could just get the pill without the urine test. (Side note- if my dog did take the urine test and it showed negative, why am I buying the pill now? What's the point of the test if I'm gonna get the pill anyways?) she said no but went and asked the doctor for confirmation. I over heard "we can but we really shouldn't." The lady came back and of course did not mention the "we can." She instead brought up that there's a regular urine test for only $100. Why would that not be presented to me first?? How would I, the customer, know if the previous test was a test for multiple things when it's listed and described as a normal urine test. I agreed to the $100 urine test and the lady added, "okay but I will probably look for a higher dosage pill since I think your dog needs it." These people are evil money sucking people. My dog, thankfully, couldn't use the bathroom. That was a sign from God to get out of there. I will never go back there again. Paid my $100 fee for nothing.

This is how the conversation went with the receptionist "Tony" T:... how can I help? Hi there I'd like to make a new client appointment as I just moved to the area and was looking to get my dog neutered T: we're currently not accepting new patients, and won't be performing any surgeries Oh, ok.

So happy to have found Dr Riddle! We have a new puppy and I really wanted to find a veterinarian in Benicia and I'm so glad I did. She's compassionate, kind and very informative. Everyone in the office has been wonderful to work with and have provided great care to our sweet little Daisy.

90% of vets try to push things like meds, X-rays, ultrasounds, cat scans just because they see a desperate, vulnerable fur parent. This place falls in the 90% group! Be weary of this place!

If I could give this review 0 stars I would, this isn't my typical review to write . When I took my dog to this pet hospital here DR. RIDDLE was the worst doctor ever. Treated me with poor and lack of kindness as a dog owner. I went to take my dog to the vet because she was having really bad anxiety and problems with her stool. It started out fine. I then started talking about her anxiety and what she was getting anxious from then she interrupted me and said " I don't need to know what she is anxious about we know she has anxiety" well okay then proceeded to talk over me like she didnt care what I was saying. Aren't you the doctor ? you should be hearing your customers out. She then was going on about calcium telling me "if you don't give your dogs calcium then their bones become weak and when they jump off something, their bones will break." Really she could have just said she needed calcium instead of all of that nonsense. I would not recommend this vet hospital only if you want to get treated like a horrible dog owner by DR RIDDLE. Be careful where you SERVICE your dogs at , wasted my money . WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!

We have used this Southampton Pet Hospital for many years, but we will now do business with All Creatures in Vallejo. Just recently our cat was ill, after our examination we were told to take him to a pet hospital, (although the name of this business says pet hospital they are not). If you need anything beyond a routine pet check-up don't go here. Just be reminded they do not do ultrasounds or monitoring of pets beyond 3:00pm, otherwise you are paying for two veterinarian visits, two sets of lab tests and the list goes on. They are expensive and the staff treats you like you are contagious with a virus, handing you your animal right at the front door and making you do your payment outside in the parking lot.At All Creatures we were very well treated, the staff is very friendly and amazingly attentive. At All Creatures they are open late, do ultrasounds, pet monitoring and lab work.

I was recommended to Dr. Shelby Riddle in Benicia by my previous Vet in Fairfield. We were relocating and I trusted my former Vet. At our first appointment Dr. Riddle and I became friends. She had been my Vet for Max until he was 14 years old. He had a brain tumor and his behavior was getting frightening. She let me make the choice to let him go when I was sure it was time. When the day came she was very gentle with him (and me). Since then I have two more dogs and they are always happy to see her (as I am). Her staff is amazing and so kind. I would recommend Southampton Pet Hospital to anyone that is looking for professional, compassionate and caring Vets for their pets.

The best doctors and staff. Dr. O'day is a master veterinarian. He was so kind to my cat, Leo. And he has been terrific taking care of our senior dog, Slash. Highly recommend.

Way too expensive for the amount of services and time they spend with you. Maybe if I had more positive interactions with the staff I wouldn't care as much about the cost but I have yet to leave feeling great about my routine visit. I'm unsure why they charge 2x more for vaccines. For reference, I called other local vets for prices. They definitely have areas they need to improve so my recommendation is to find a different vet where you like spending your time and money if you don't want to deal with this.

It was hard finding a pet hospital who specializes in bunnies until we found Dr. Riddle at Southampton Pet Hospital. She did a wonderful job caring for our bunny Churro and handled him with gentle care. She was very straight forward and kept it real with us.. Churro's injury is now on the mend and almost completely healed because of Dr. Riddle and staff
