10/19/2023,My FIRST experience with JOE'S AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR, and I was delighted with their quick service, and going the extra mile for me, as they did a Brake & Rotor job and LOF on my 2011 Ford Taurus SEL Sedan .. .. .. Very Friendly and Professional Too !! .. ..And, I won't hesitate to bring in my 2001 Motorhome, as well as my 2 Classic Ford Mustang's & my Classic 1956 & 1958 T-Bird, and the wife's car for repairs and up keep as well !! .. .. .. This is my FIRST time using JOE'S AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR in Benicia, California ( recommended by a dear friend) .. .. ..And I must say, They are my go to auto/truck repair shop from now on !! !! .. .. They managed to squeeze me in on 10/19/2023 for a Brake Job & LOF Replacement .. .. Both Joe and his wife (Brenda) were gracious and professional in handling my much needed job !! .. .. And the Technician who did the job was GREAT too .. .. ..I will also bring my 3 Classic Cars and 2001 Motorhome to them too, when repairs and regular maintenance is needed. .. .. ..You may have to wait a month to get your work done, (they are popular) but they're worth it, and the wait too, but they WILL fill you in on any cancellation !! !! .. .. .. I went to have ac repaired on my taurus in july. I picked up my car over 800 dollars later. It worked very well. A month later its blowing warm air and check engine light comsmes in. I take it back over 900 dollars later i have an alternatir new battery and no working ac. The ac was the original problem. Very disappointed in this auto repair shop. T. H.

I had a problem with the A/C in my 2008 CRV that Avery Honda could not figure out. But, Joe's Automotive found and fixed the problem, plus honored a parts warranty that was a few years old. We've always been very happy with Joe's reputable work and fees, and were once again extremely satisfied (and grateful!) for their diligence and results.Services: Air & Cabin Filter

Worst experience I’ve ever had. Basically held my car hostage as they told me “next week” about 6Times. Then proceeds to tell me I Am “only paying for labor anyways”Rude, unprofessional and completely unreliable. Avoid at all costs:

If I could give them zero stars it would be too many. I brought my VW there to have the clutch changed. After quoting me 3x the amount any other shop- Joe so kindly said I could bring him the part and he would install it. He failed to mention this would somehow make my business less important than anyone else. So one week passes....no response...two weeks...no response....week three comes around and they will "have it done Friday" ...friday comes around....Next week....next week rolls around....annnnnd they "try by Monday." Then when my frustration has mounted because my car has been sitting and not moved for nearly a month- he informs me I can just go take it somewhere else. And now, I am out the cost of the tow and the cost of a clutch that he was supposed to install. An absolute embarrassment to the automotive industry. I have filed a complaint with the B.A.R and CalOsha, I hope this never ever happens to anyone else as it has been a COSTLY mistake of trusting these people.

I can't really begin to tell you the whole story of how much Joe has done to take care of me and my F150. What I will say is that I've never ever experienced a mechanic do more and go above and beyond more. Joe has earned my business for as long as he is working. My experience with him was beyond top notch. Thanks so much for everything Joe. From the girl with a F150 and no towing experience.

Great costumer service, I was afraid to try local but I gotta say I got lucky for my first pick. Very considerable on the diagnostic fees (because if it wouldn’t take them too long to find out what’s wrong they wave the diagnostic fees which goes for $65) and the owner even gave me a ride home, coincidentally I think because he’s about to go to the shopping plaza right where I live.Services: General repairs & maintenance

Brought our '17 Subaru Forester in for: * Transmission oil * Front & Rear Differential Oil * Brake Fluid flush * Coolant flush Needed our car back by the end of the day for a trip we were planning on leaving for early the next morning. Joe told us he could get it done and he did, for less than his original quote. Joe sourced the oils/fluid from Subaru and had our car back to us before closing time the same day. 10/10 would recommend this shop.
