If you know how to, it’s better to do your own taxes. I went here because I was recently married and wasn’t sure how that would change my taxes. The guy here that assisted me was not thorough, made multiple mistakes when entering info, and blamed the format of the documents(it was a W2). They wanted half of my return to file. I went home did our taxes on turbo tax, got 2x the return for 1/3 of the price. I just wish I could get the time I wasted at H&R back.

Waaaay too expensive!! $622 for a tax return is ludicrous! And all that money with no additional advice / input / suggestions. Save your money and go somewhere else! I could have typed the numbers from my forms into the software.

My son and I made an appointment to get his Taxes done. We were called to confirm the appointment. We showed up and there were No customers. Not a great sign. We told him we had come to the same office last year. They couldn't find his returns in their data base. I said, I have a copy at home, I know they were done here. I even described the guy who had done our taxes the year before. The guy helping us knew exactly who it was. Anyway, he kept telling us this was his first time doing taxes in a long time. I said, well it tells us on the computer screen you've been doing this for 21 years. He laughed and then proceeded to continue to look up my son's previous years taxes. I told him let's move on for now and do this years. He will be taking the standard deduction and he will probably have to pay some taxes. The man could barely type and couldn't spell. I ended up watching everything like a hawk to catch his errors. One more thing. They now tell you they are assisting you with doing your taxes. They will charge you extra $40 bucks if you want them to show up if you are audited. So, for $155 bucks pay your mom and she will do a much better job.
