The gas station attendants are very friendly people. They have a decent selection of beer and some basic as expected gas station items. However, the store is filled with too many unhealthy snacks and generally low quality products. The wine selection is very limited. There could be an opportunity for Bob's Liquor and Food to transform into a convenient health food market for the community. Offer nutritious grocery staples - fruits and veggies, bread, coffee, cheese, yogurt, eggs, milk, potatoes, rice, etc. It could be a mini version of Andy's Sun Valley Market in San Rafael.

Posted prices for gas on Gas Buddy are consistently misrepresented. Like grossly misrepresented. The consistency of this misrepresentation suggests owner-management collusion or someone in cahoots who's deceptively (and deliberately) misrepresenting pump prices. Stop it already. You'll never build a customer base this way. Waste of motorists valuable time (and gas).

My son borrowed my van and was going camping. We have lived here since 1974 and he has always referred to the "newest owner" as a Ma. For him, that is an endearing term. The owner has always embraced our support of Short Stop. It's known by newer Benicians as Bob's Food and Liquor. To the point, he parked so the sun would allow him to see his Laptop and was accused of dumping a piece of furniture; not a chance. Sadly he walks around picking up litter. I'm sorry this store was robbed, however, that is no excuse for the owner accusing what she can see on camera. Needless to say, the store is getting worse, with the new employees, bar the young gentleman. Her behavior is indicative of someone whom only wants our money, not our business. In Benicia, we exist as a solid community. One shouldn't judge, especially when they are absolutely wrong. No thanks is what I will say to a judgemental, accusatory, and discriminating owner. How about your family or culture behaving properly. There is nothing worse then being kind to people only for the money they have.

This place is a hit or miss. Sometimes it's been great but other times has had machine issues and I got my card number stolen here. Prices were cheap but have gotten higher over time.

This is a great corner store. They tried to help out during the shut down by offering things you couldn't find in the grocery stores. Flour, corn meal, milk, bread. The staff is always helpful and are also part of the community. It gives me a warm feeling inside when I go grab Takis, Hot Cheetos, and Gatorade for my heathens, that they will be safe and watched out for if they stop by.
