FYI they don't accept debit or credit cards, or autopay. Only cash or check! For a long term, reoccurring charge, that is extremely inconvenient. They failed to mention this over the phone, and I came all the way there from Walnut Creek with my stuff and hired helpers, and had to go somewhere else and ended up paying my helpers double for their time.

Do not rent from this place. Dark scary hallways with no lighting except on walls where you have to walk in the dark to find.Gates are always open where anybody can come in.Plus an totally inadequate billing system. Cash or check in unsecured mailbox mounted on outside wall.

It's a storage facility with in town access. Not too bad. Ask for a manager if you leave mid month to see if you can get prorated out. They usually don't as a rule but will consider requests.

I've had a good experience at Benicia Mini Storage. I like that it stays pretty cool mostly. Be aware, it's not fully enclosed so during fire season things get covered with a hefty layer of ash. Sealed storage boxes or containers & tarps are recommended.

Very clean, plenty of sizes available. Staff on site, well maintained 10+ years myself. Good hours available. Have deals if pay ahead can have discount. Would like them to take card by phone payment but still don't have.

Great service and response to my needs so far (I've had a unit for 3 months). Just wish they were open or units were accessible later hours! I tend to work later hours and it's frustrating to not be able to get to your unit after 6:00 pm.There are only a few facilities with more accessible hours, but BENICIA STORAGE would be the absolute greatest if it were one of those!!! It's well maintained and appears basically theft proof; it took me a few days to put a lock on my unit door ( I had practically nothing stored & hadn't yet purchased a lock) and I got a call from Benicia Storage to make sure everything was okay as they did not see my unit yet locked! I appreciate that they were so aware and were concerned! That was very reassuring to me. As I mentioned earlier, I would just like to be able to access my unit later and hours more convenient for me! Otherwise, I have no complaints thus far.

I saw a some rat p*** while I was helping my cousins get rid of some storage. I am not sure how they maintain this place but there shouldn't be any kind of waste inside these storage units. I get that it's a big place, but barely any people come in so it's Not like it's busy. I think there should be someone checking that there's no waste laying around. The older lady at front shouldn't be smoking either. It causes the place to reek even more. If you're looking for something cheap in Benicia then expect this.
