Thank you Tammy for your amazing customer service last week while assisting me, a non BMO customer, cash a check drawn from your bank. You were patient with me and the process. Even though, cashing a check is a fairly simple transaction, however, with all the safety precautions and protocols necessary to make it a successful transaction, it takes an experienced and professional bank employee to complete the tasks while being engaging and pleasant. Thank you.

If you want good customer service, any of the tellers will provide you with a wonderful experience. If you have any issues with your account(s) and have to deal with the branch manager, you will have major problems. The manager does nothing to resolve any issues. Instead she makes the tellers deal with unhappy customers. In the rare occasion she is available, she is rude, unprofessional, and condescending. She treats customers like they do not matter, and makes it clear she does not care if you close your account. Do not bother lodging a complaint, there is nobody above her, maybe this is why she behaves the way she does? Again, great tellers, HORRIBLE branch manager, I wonder how long it will take someone above her to realize she is costing customers to leave.

I've had good experience with the tellers at this branch, however, Mr. Francisco, is completely unhelpful and had NO interest in helping me resolve my issue. He told me to call the fraud department, the number he gave me was the wrong number, so I had to make another trip to the bank to get the correct number, then if the fraud dept didn't call you first you cannot connect with them. So, ridiculous! Mr. Francisco provided unacceptable customer service, just on the verge of being rude! By the way, I went to the Concord branch, they canceled my card and re-issued you a new card within 20 minutes! Thank you, Concord!!!

still having problems with BofTW. now whenever I use my ATM to pay for medications, they put a fraud alert. never asked for this. it's embarrassing. I can order Ike's sandwiches once ina Blu moon for $38 bucks and they put a fraud alert for a $4 co-pay. man, quality continues to fall. time to find a better bank.

Staff is lovely; my dad and I have known everyone at this branch for years, and they’re always so helpful and willing to go the extra mile for their customers. Building is very very clean as well; I would recommend this location to anyone who uses Bank of the West!

As a national chain, Bank of the West looks like it's genuinely trying to pivot from any previous missteps and service issues. They've perhaps exited the proverbial confession booth and have begun their prescribed "penance," if you will. I very recently opened a checking & savings account to take advantage of a $250 promotion. The branch manager who opens accounts was really sweet. The inside of this particular branch is really inviting like you're in a nice house or something, lol. I read carefully some of the few negative reviews and determined that one appeared from a non-customer and the other could've been mitigated by the customer doing a little research on fees. Their online banking system has a few tolerable bug-a-boo's. And don't bother phoning the 800 customer service phone, as this is usually severely understaffed. Instead, phone your branch direct. Several, including this one, welcome your calls with concerns. Decent follow-up. So far, so good!

This is a great neighborhood bank. The staff is always helpful and they know you by name. I'm grateful to have them so close to where I live :)

I really wish there was another branch in Benicia where I could go to instead but I cannot. Save your time and go to Pinole. I know you will pay an extra $6 for the bridge but trust me, it will be worth it! I went into the branch to order some checks. Just a simple transaction. I was told the charge would be for $40. No problem I thought. We'll, I was wrong! I checked my balance today and I was charged $84 for 100 checks! And there are no refunds! I never authorized them to take out that much! Called customer service and they were no help. If you are going to order checks do not order them inside the bank! You have been warned

Bank of the West loans are ridiculous. I paid off a loan online in full with a bank transfer and did not credit it for 5 days, (9/17). Interesting since they can credit a single payment immediately. Once they did credit it, they promptly shut down my online account entirely, so I could not access it, yet failed to provide any proof of payment. I am still waiting and have no way to access it. I have called multiple times with extensive wait times and then everyone I speak to is misinformed. I requested to have my receipt emailed to me, but they can't email because I do not have an email on file because they closed my acct! How convenient. I asked them to fax it to the local branch, and of course, not done, and still waiting on that, too. They said it would be 48 hours a week ago. Always an excuse. They hijacked my money and all these tricks are meant to keep using it. I understand some things take time, but there is NO reason that they cannot provide a receipt of payment, which seems like a standard request for goodness sakes.

Had the most helpful teller. I think her name was Ms. Wilson. Very caring and personable. She was really prompt and kept the line moving. Thanks for an outstanding experience and keep up the good work!

Horrible horrible horrible place to do business. There's a business down the street on first Street and they know the owners and it's a running joke that they know the checks going to be bad. And when I complain to the supervisor tell her she told me it would be cheaper for me to pay the seven dollars and 50 Cent charge since I don't have a account there then to put it through my bank and pay the return check charges cause I'll probably never get them from her the owner of the business that wrote the check. So I question why they are still allowing this business owner to have a account there. She laughed and said it's been going on for year but is still cheaper for me to keep coming back until the funds are in the account to cash the payroll check from this business. But I realized that there just as crooked as a person writing the check because they want me to keep coming back so they can charge me the fee for cashing the check since I don't have a account there. That's why she told me was cheaper to come back there when the funds are there and keep trying to cash the check. As far as I'm concerned Bank of the West is just as crooked as the business owner that writes the check. I filed a complaint in San Francisco at the main office and they told me it was up to each individual branch on whether they keep the account open or not. On believable thanking practice I guess if I was a crook I would open up a account with Bank of the West dissed honest people
