“IMHO I love visiting the Butter Paddle anytime I'm in downtown Los Gatos. I think all the ladies who work there are volunteers and are very welcoming and gracious to all visitors! This is a wonderful gift shop featuring beautiful glassware, home decor, stationery, children's toys and clothing, jewelry, some food items, purses, scarves, women's clothing, and seasonal items. The store is beautifully merchandised and eye-catching. Go visit, you will be delighted!”

“They did a fantastic job on my rings!! 4 years ago I had my son, and after his birth I thought my fingers would go back to pre pregnancy size. Unfortunately they did not and I wasn't able to wear my wedding and engagement rings since. I put off getting the rings resized up because of a variety of factors. My mom recommended this business as a excellent place for resizing. I am absolutely in love and my rings are so mirror like and so we'll polished it feels like they are a brand new set. “Having been exposed to various aspects of the jewelry industry over the years along with having been in sales for half my life, walking into this store today for the first time was a very pleasant experience. It was also a huge surprise personally unveiling this gem after arriving to the Bay Area in '09 and even residing in Los Gatos for the first 9 years!Jeanette has an extremely soothing, inviting, and non pushy demeanor. We immediately clicked regardless as to how I was dressed nor how I was not draped in an expensive watch nor a platinum wedding band etc. She offered many options as well as asked me all the right questions to best assist me. I basically needed a very inexpensive repair and I was never judged nor dismissed by either Jeanette (the owner), nor by Samara (the manager). This team knows what it takes to gain and maintain customer clientele by treating people with the utmost respect regardless of how much they spend!!Would strongly recommend!!!”

“About a year ago my sweet puppy got a hold of a very fragile ring given to me by my grandmother. Thankfully he didn't swallow it, but he totally mangled it. The ring is over 50 years old and was given to my grandmother as a birthday gift from my grandfather when she turned 40. I was heartbroken and was told multiple times that it would be very difficult or near impossible to repair because of how thin the band was and how delicate the setting. Greg at Stephan's Fine Jewelry examined the ring thoroughly and talked me through two options to repair it. I appreciated how honest Greg was with me about expectations for both options, and how careful he was in examining the ring. I ended up having the band replaced and the setting repaired and reset and I couldn't be happier with it. Greg is a master of his craft and I'm glad I ended up taking my grandmothers ring to Stephan's. I will absolutely use and recommend them for fine jewelry repair moving forward. Thank you Greg! And everyone who I chatted with at Stephan's - the staff is so kind. Pictures of before and after are below. It's hard to see how truly ruined it was but it's a small miracle the diamonds stayed intact. The prongs were partially twisted and the band was about to break from how thin and chewed it was.”

“This place is great, my wife took an old gold bracelet that wouldn't stay clasped. She knew it was gold and not plated, as that is what she buys. we couldn't find a kart stamp on the bracelet so we were not sure of the gold quality. The person working the shop had no problem taking the piece and testing it. When he returned he informed us that the bracelet was 18k and carefully explained what he offers for gold and gave us some alternative methods for maybe getting more for it. We understood his offer and took it. We felt was very good offer. It was a great transaction and we can highly recommend this business. We'll be back”

I started by ordering online from Canada, and then on a road trip made a special detour so that I could visit the store location.I turned up at a time when they didn't have any sales people in, but the person there helped me find the pair of earrings I already knew I wanted. “super cute art store in the heart of capitola... my friends and i stopped by en route to the beach and loved what we saw here, lots of custom greeting cards, paintings by local artists, mugs, jewelry and clothing branded with capitola. some of the actual artwork was very unique, symbols and things that i hadn't seen in other art stores. the ladies working there were super sweet, very friendly. hours are a little limited though, they only open wednesday - sunday, 11.00-17.00 (closed on monday & tuesday). as far as parking, there is limited street parking, but your best bet is to park in the city parking lot about a block away.”

“I looked all over Santa Cruz county and surrounding areas for a gold turtle or dragonfly charm for my wife's birthday, and couldn't find either anywhere. I called about 14 more jewelry stores from Los Gatos down to South of Aptos, and no luck. Finally, I called Don Roberto in the Macy's mall in Capitola, and they had two turtle charms and a dragonfly charm in gold! I bought both a beautiful gold turtle with an emerald on its shell, and a white & yellow gold dragonfly with diamonds, and she loves them! And the women at Don Roberto could not have been nicer.”
