Alan is an artist and an honest, big-hearted man. I’ve known Alan for 20 years, and I wouldn’t believe a single word of any negative reviews. He’s a very talented jeweler, and is easy to work with, when creating your special piece. His contributions to the design creation made the process easy and extremely rewarding. I had him make an anniversary ring for my wife, and his thoughtfulness and creativity resulted in a truly beautiful piece, that my wife will always treasure. Go see Alan. ??

I’ve had a ring made and several repairs to other jewelry completed at Andersen Jewelry Design. Alan Andersen is an amazing craftsman and gifted at taking my design thoughts and putting on paper the ring of my dreams. I have had the ring Alan created for me for 17 years. I am very active and my rings looks as beautiful today as the day I got it. I guarantee you will be happy with any work done by Alan. Alan is not only extremely talented, but he is also very professional, nice and stands by his work. You will be happy with the job Alan does for you.

My wife and I have lived in Boulder Creek for 30 years now and have used Alan for all of our jewelry repairs and have had excellent results. Alan did a custom wedding ring for me. He created a beautiful band with the diamond nesseled in an ocean wave, so as to create a sunset effect. He also created a beautiful necklace from a ring my wife's best friend left her when he passed away. He set the ring's ruby in a gold teardrop he created from the gold in the ring. Alan has become a close friend now and I can promise you that you will never find a jeweler who's honesty and integrity is beyond reproach.

I love Andersen Jewelry Designs! Alan is so easy to work with. He designed my wedding rings as I had hoped and even included intricate designs around the circular ends so there isn't an area anywhere on the ring that is not beautifully crafted and one of a kind. I absolutely love them!

Alan creates unique, spectacular pieces. He has made me both a ring and a bracelet using inspiration from our love of Pacific Northwest Indian art. In addition, he is a wizard at fixing things....whether it be simply changing a watch battery to fixing a much-loved gold chain. He is a generous and warm person who listens carefully to your needs.

Alan Andersen has designed and sold me several unique pieces which have delighted my wife and made me a master gift giver. If you want to create something extra special for the one you love, I heartily recommend Alan. I only wish he would make more jewelry for stock for all the times when I haven’t planned ahead.

Had a custom ring made for my fiancee here. We designed it together and it came out as imagined, and looked great. However, after another jeweler had taken a quick look at it for other reasons, a number of flaws we're discovered. Corners were crooked, porosity was evident in the shank, and he failed to secure the diamond adequately, to the point it can be shaken with a fingernail. Returning to Alan provided no results, as he said all the other Jewelers in town are out to get him, and accused my fiancee of having weird fingers after he sized her finger and it didn't fit (which led us to see another jeweler). There is a lot of really beautiful work inside that store and online, but what I received was nowhere near the quality I saw elsewhere in the store. If everything goes right, I'm sure it's a great experience shopping here, but if something goes wrong, you'll be hard pressed to find any recourse.

Please do not go to this jeweler. He is dishonest and unprofessional.

We love Anderson jewelry Design! My husband surprised me with a beautiful engagement ring from this adorable shop and I couldn't imagine a bigger surprise! Not only was it a unique, custom creation, Alan took the time and care to work with a fragile, precious stone my husband picked out for us. A Yeh Ming Zhu for all you interested "Rock-Hounds," this is a stone we wouldn't trust just anyone with but we're confident with it in the hands of Alan. when it was time to create our wedding set we knew exactly where to go. Alan's creative process is an experience in itself, one I feel blessed to have experienced. We Incorporated our Yeh Ming Zhu along with a diamond we brought in for our wedding set while Alan filled in the rest of our rings with beautiful, unique stones fitting an overall idea we had for our lifetime symbols of union! Thank you Anderson jewelry, for your time, and epic care!

After listening to what we envisioned, he advised us of potential pitfalls and to make alterations for longevity. He does alot of repairs on poor designs, not just make custom jewelry. Alan crafted a mold so he could pour both our wedding rings at the same. The rings came out beautiful and are solid.

UPDATE: this j*** won't work on my ring anymore and it's his own crappy craftsmanship because the same jewel that fell out the first time- FELL OUT AGAIN!!! SAVE YOUR TIME AND ENERGY AND GO TO A REAL JEWLER THIS GUYS A CROOK. He checked that the stones were really sapphires so he would have known. He likes to say that he told us it was glass from the start and No he didn't. He said "they could be so ill check" we come back a week later- and he doesn't tell us their glass or that they are sapphire he already has the wax set up w the jewels in place. We assumed he confirmed they weren't glass otherwise we wouldn't have used them. Also the stones were provided from another ring that contained farmed sapphires- my grandpa gave them to me. Don't want to work w him again either. Also if I was trying to get more for less money- I'd have a better ring. If you want your ring on time order three years in advance. Also he never gave us appraisal info at all!!!!!! No pics nothing what a liar. And we didn't pay the "total" he wanted in the end Bc of the crap he put us through not because we couldn't pay it!! And no I didn't have the ring that long before I brought it in after it broke. I did wait a week since calling him about it due to appointments but it was broken that week not months before. I've only had the ring for 5 months since he last had it- anytime he takes your jewelry he keeps it 2x as long as other jewelers. I paid 1.5k for this- as a young adult that's a lot of money and this man ruined it the whole experience is just shitty. He promised us extra chip diamonds and yet never delivered. He promised that he'd take care of my ring and because he won't own up to the fact his work isn't as great as he claims and puts the blame on the client. I will be calling the better business bureau this week to discuss this. TERRIBLE. This guy man... He's a nice guy and is very talented. But he's not in his prime anymore. I got a wedding set made from him and it's beautiful. I used my own stones from another ring- Sapphires. This ring is rose gold with diamond chips (one from my other ring the other we bought from Allen) Well he tells us he will check of the sapphires are real- he tells us they are and we make the ring. His work is beautiful- but then 9 months go by and one of my sapphires falls out! We call him and he says "well it depends if they were real sapphires maybe they shattered?" Rather than own up to a mistake on his part he blames me! He tells me to bring the ring in and we can put in one of my extra stones. He tells me it will be 150$- 60 for welding the rings and then like the rest is for resizing it and adding the stone in. I'm fine with paying for the resize and the welding but then I'm like wait what you should not be charging me for replacing the stone it fell out! We haggle the price to 50$ because he couldn't even keep up with what he was charging me for! And the center of the ring where the dimond is was hammered and smashed!! And in the beginning when we designed the ring he told us 1,500 for it and he would put dimond chips in the side of the ring- didn't happen- we asked for 4! Got only the one I gave him from my other ring. So with that in mind- I'm mad I have to pay more money for this ring which this guy insured saying if a stone falls out he will fix it no problem. Well it did and instead of fixing it he puts the blame on me and says the sapphires aren't real and the ring can't be insured anymore. What??? You said they WERE sapphires so either you never checked or you don't know what you're saying. Now to top it off I need to find another jeweler to fix my ring because a stone is loose and is wobbling around!!! And I don't even trust this guy to fix it. Not only that but it took him 4 months to "fix" my ring and too

We had custom wedding bands made, he's fun and easy to talk to and made incredibly beautiful rings based on some of my artwork. We were blown away by how much of the spirit of the designs he was able to capture on such a small space. Absolutely will be going here again.
