This is my recently switched favorite smog place. Ray is honest, fair, and very knowledgeable. I first started bringing my old cars here (old Lexus, and air cooled Porsche) since he was one of the only places around that would not jack up the price for the extra testing those need. While waiting for my 911 to get done, another guy was getting his Ferrari done, and we talked a little. Ray really knows his stuff on these old cars. Today he got my much newer Porsche Cayenne done, with fast service, fair pricing, and no problems at all. The store is a little difficult to find, and you might find yourself at the other smog shop a few doors North on Old County, if you are not careful. Those guys are good too, but Ray is the best.

We have taken our cars for smog certifications to Ray for several years. He is always friendly and gets us in and out as quickly as possible. I typically make an appointment so he knows to expect us.Service: Smog certification

I leave a car in California to use when I visit. Unfortunately the car sits for long periods of time without being driven. When my son took it in for a smog test, it initially didn't pass because the battery had died and the computer shut down. The smog testing guy advised us to drive the car at least 100 miles before retesting. He was correct. After driving it for the prescribed distance the car passed.

I would highly recommend Smog Express. I called and made an appointment for Saturday and my car was worked on, on time. Waited in the waiting room that had nice comfortable couches, toys to entertain small children, coffee machine and a restroom. My appointment was at 12:20 and I was out by 12:50 smog certificate in hand. Gentleman that helped me I think his name was Ray. Very nice & professional.

Great service! I recently changed my battery and thought 200 miles would be sufficient for smog... 500 miles later, my car was able to pass, on my third trip in. I called about an hour before I wanted to come in and didn't get charged for the extra attempts!

Called them Saturday morning hoping for a same-day appointment so I could take care of my vehicle's smog requirement before registration fees are due. They are right near my kids' martial arts school and I was hoping to take care of the smog check while my kids were in class. Called a few others in the area and was told they didn't have openings until later in the afternoon. Luckily I called Smog Express! They were able to fit me in and I was back to pick up the kids on time!!! Will definitely go to them again next time I need another smog check.

I made an appointment for Saturday morning (today) and accidentally locked myself out of my car before I left. I called the business and the gentleman that picked up, I believe his name is Ray, was very understanding and told me not to worry and he would take me as soon as I could get there. Got there and he was very accommodating and informative. The smog check was quick, I was on my way no more than 30 minutes after I got there. Great service! I will keep him in mind for the future and I will recommend this business to my friends and family!
