I'm pleased to have this Safeway as my local neighborhood grocery store. The biggest shout out I'd like to mention in this review is for the exceptional staff and reason why this is my goto grocery store; Joyce, Aruna, & Ellen are always welcoming and provide top notch customer service. In addition the store is always stocked, clean, & well kept. Great job all around. Highly recommended!!!

Now they get rid of the baskets. There are ways to make things more secure than to get rid of baskets

The discrimination and pure disrespect that I have an endeared 100% only from the Mexican people that have any power in this place Safeway meaning they have a title and they’re not just some grunt worker. They are the most ruthless disrespectful thinking you are stupid and they are smart Type of people you could walk into me being a white woman who is quite frankly sick and tired of these immigrants with fake Social Security guards getting jobs like the ones they have. However, soon enough, me and my company are going to investigate all Safeway in the bay area. Better change your job now you illegal frauds! And definitely switch up that attitude because the divine does not cater to your kind.

Horrible customer service at the check out line. Everyone I've had to use the actual non self check out there's an issue with the Safeway app coupons I clip. Today they failed to give me my $5 off an order because I was a few cents short of $50, when I tried to add another item to my order to get to $50 they would not let me. Why is it so difficult to ring up another item or refund the order and redo it? Those working at the cashier counters are just awful, never has a good experience with them.

Frustrated with locked grocery carts. They now have locks on them to prevent them from being stolen. The problem is if you park on the side of Safeway Belmont (El Camino store) property the grocery carts will lock up so you can't take your groceries to your car. Terrible for single or elderly people who are trying to bring water or a few bags of groceries to their car. So this means if your by yourself you have to leave cart because it locked up and carry groceries to car. If you have a lot to carry you will need store help or by less because otherwise someone will steal groceries out of cart. What a joke?? This will be a nightmare when the holidays come when you can't find parking in the main lot and you have to park on the side of store. Safeway is more concern with carts than customer service.

Someone needs to talk to the Hispanic, tall girl with the long face who does the shopping for the Safeway curbside pickup. I'm there a lot and she has no regard for people around her. She shoulder brushed me a few times, never apologized. Almost hits people with her cart. Just so rude

this safeway is usually well stocked. but the lines at checkout are a nightmare like almost at every other safeway. but what makes this safeway hard to shop is the parking lot since it's being shared between safeway and other local businesses.
