Barbara did a great job getting my paperwork filed and my divorce moving as quickly as the courts allow. She is smart and strategic and walked me through every step of the way. This is the worst attorney ever I would never hire her again, and I do not recommend using her. She overcharges you quits in the middle of the case, and is very inappropriate to the judge to the point where it will actually hurt you versus help you.

*This post is years in the making; my review comments are from a few years ago when I initially hired her, pre-COVID.I had been recommended to this attorney through a friend who had started using them. It wasn't until after they started my case, on a limited basis only due to the fact I was already divorced, I hired them to pursue my X due to over 8 years of unpaid support. I didn't realize how misinformed regarding up to date case laws and how incompetent she was. At the end of the day, I ended up doing almost EVERYTHING I hired her for on my own! She dragged my case on for years... didn't accomplish anything, and billed me for the most trivial things! Don't use her, you might as well burn your money. Do your research first even if recommended! I had found out towards the end that she had had her bar license revolked due to some unethical behavior on her part. You'll still be able to find this information through the CA Bar Association, as well as by online research. *** not using my real name due to fear of her retaliating against me for this post.

Barbara was amazing helping me through my divorce. She literally ran the entire case because the other attorney was not very experienced. She was honest, direct, and fierce when she needed to be. My divorce was fairly amicable but there were definitely tension points. I felt in good hands with Barbara and her team. I've already referred her to others and they have had the same experience.

This time again there are a lot of some inaccuracies, omissions, and bleak accusations in what Barbara wrote. I really don't want to go into their details so as not to violate my privacy and the privacy of those who were involved in the case. This is my last update on the matter as I gave too much attention to her reply. If you guys get to this point reading this review It's up to you to choose her services or the services of someone else but one last thing I want to add: googling Barbara license and you'll find some interesting things.

A complete fraud, sloppy, careless and accomplished exactly nothing; the mediators commented that I ought to have asked for my $12,500 retainer back also, but it was too late. She had a close friendship with the former lead of DCSS (Trinidad Madrigal) and refused to take her to the mat for breaking 8 out of 12 rules for child support complaints and misconduct. Barbara's legal briefs and citations are often off-point, meandering and full of sophomoric language that would embarrass a first year law student. I ended up working with an associate in her office (unlike Barbara, a REAL lawyer, learning the arcane and mysterious ways of the family law mess) and she ended up screwing him for six figures of back pay. This woman was suspended back in the 90's but learned nothing. That stated, if you happen to draw Judge Susan Greenberg, go ahead and hire her, because she essentially uses that courtroom as her 2nd office. This is a long way of saying that San Mateo County is corrupt to the core and this woman is a perfect reflection of the cesspool where she litigates.
