The name fits the storage. Clean, safe and friendly staff. Timothy the store manager made the check in process a breeze. I had considered a storage unit in Oakland, but the bums walking in and out did not make me feel safe. Very happy to pay a few dollars more for peace of mind, and safety of my possessions.

These guys have the same racket going as Public Storage. $10 rate increase after 6 months, then a 30% rate increase a year later. I chatted with a manager to knock it down to a 15% increase but that’s still an extra $31 out of my pocket every month after 18 months on a 7x10. Late and lien fees are also ridiculous and could cost upwards of 50% of the monthly rent. Parking situation near elevators is a nuisance as tenants often park too close to the barriers to allow carts to roll through. Nonetheless, I’m very appreciative of the kind and helpful service staff, always available to assist customers. Kudos to you guys! Sorry for the rant but there should really be more rate increase controls in place to protect consumers. I’ve seen far too many people over the past few years have all their belongings taken and sold at auction because they couldn’t keep up with the rising costs.

Easy rental online. they had all my paperwork ready when I got there. We did an inspection of space and she gave me a quick tutorial of how the code and locks work. Carts are available for free to move items with no hassles. Recommend this place.

Visit A-1 at Belmont location today first time. The services are great, the price is amazing, and Manuela who helped me here is super! I would highly recommend to come check it out. they take walk-ins if you need a tour. and don’t forget to check any promotion they are running!

Incredible service, AND a great location! The manager, Tim, is friendly, professional, and patient. He took the time to answer my long list of questions while I went through the contract, and worked with me on a complicated situation.He and Manuela have both been eager and ready to help with anything, and the move-in process was so much less stressful than I expected.The facility is both cleaner and more secure than my last two facilities, and with better access hours! I feel so much less stressed already!

This is my first time renting a storage unit and Manuela made it so easy for me to move in! I filled out everything online so it made the process so much easier. They also have moving carts to help load everything into your unit which is super convenient. The building is really secure and has a lot of different measures to make sure the right person has access to their unit. Manuela is awesome because she showed me how to navigate the halls and showed me how the locks work (she's also super friendly and great to talk to!) I would definitely get a cylinder lock from the office if you have the money to spare. Also, more importantly (to me) most of the units are inside a building rather than just out in the open.

We have visited couple storage units in the area to find the one for us. A-1 self-storage was our final choice because:1. Customer service is great, you can really trust the call to go through and somebody will provide you with any help you may need.2. On-site service is great, they have staffs everyday on site, so it's easy to drop in and check on the location, take a look at the space dimension, get to know the facility etc.Overall I am very happy with what we got! If anything changes during the next couple months, I will come back to give more feedbacks.
