Dingy inside and the staff had an air of despair about them. When staff are surly I don't blame them, I blame the management. Must be a terrible place to work. Also, if you want something printed, it'll cost you a dollar. Per page. ONE EVER-LOVING DOLLAR PER PAGE PRINTED. Insane. I went and bought a printer instead. Stay happy and stay away from this sad, expensive little dungeon.

I was told by Amazon that I didn’t need a label since I wasn’t sure I asked the guy young with a nasty attitude. I told him not to disrespect me older oriental guy answer at the same time I said 2 against one I don’t think so. In the past they were nice there but today with the cute lil mustache pirate looking young guy. Said I’m not helping cause I told him your too cute to look ugly ran to the back said I’m not helping you . The ups in Compton on Wilmington and rosecrans is way better., service have a bad vibe leave them with there bad vibe they can loose your stuff on purpose

I'll start by saying I'd love a response from "Owner".This review isn't for the mail services part but the notary working here who wouldn't accept an expired ID that was issued last year, when up to 5 years from issue date is permitted. Here's Secretary of State of California's official handbook for notary: notary.cdn.sos.ca.gov/fo… (see attached picture) It clearly states it should be current OR have been issued in past 5 years. And it can be from another state or even Canada or Mexico. My friend went in with ID that was expired by two months. The regulation states that the ID can be expired for 5 years from ISSUE date and still be ok. Note: the man did not dispute this caveat. He said he knows math implying we don't and it's more than 5 years from issue date (not even close, it was issued last year) and would do it but he's not comfortable, but my friend kept saying how it should be ok she looked it up and called ahead, and then he's like, "if you're gonna argue I'm not doing it." To be clear he agreed and seemed to be aware of the 5 year stipulation but apparently was saying it's been more than 5 years which is just flat out wrong. It was issued last year. I wish I could go back and ask him wtf he was talking about and to explain his math but we didn't want to yell or be nasty. Friend even wished him well and we left.Going from "I'll do it" to "no you want to argue I won't." Lol like what. She didn't yell or hurl insults, wasn't disrespectful, just stated she looked it up and called ahead and even flew with her id and tried explaining it hasn't even been 5 years since issue date and asking him what he's talking about by saying it's been more than 5 years. She came to ups I believe to allow her mother to make healthcare decisions for her disabled daughter. I was upset at my friend and told her she should have just ate s*** and gotten her job done and ignored him, but now I'm upset at this man. It absolutely wasn't doubt about her identity that prevented him or the ID being old, it was his fragile ego that got in the way of his professional obligation. I even attested I've known her over 8 years she was my neighbor and I have ID. He went from "I'll do it" to "i can't do it" just cause she was stating the rules and regulations of his own field that he should know. What a sad tiny pathetic little man who couldn't dare be dictated to by a young woman and telling us we don't know math. The math of an ID that was issued last year but is over 5 years? I would love to hear this donkey's math. Absolute misogynist unprofessional clown notary. I should be making complaint with secretary of state's office for this ignoramus.

This is by far the worst UPS location anyone can ever go too. The owner is by far the most rude, inappropriate, and uneducated person. He has no customer service skills and he thinks because he's the franchise owner he can ignore UPS standard policies. I've spoken to him twice before in person and again today over the phone, and it's disheartening to assume based on his communication that he lacks proper manners and human empathy. Rather than offering good service, he yelled at me over the phone and then hung up after I made him aware that I dropped off a package to be returned to sender, that was once again dropped off to me. I understand that he's not solely responsible for the driver's mistakes or their lack of understanding and communication, but it was the UPS franchise owners response and actions towards me that upset me. He had no concern that I took that 12 pound package back and it was once again on my doorsteps. Had his customer service been helpful, or kind I would not be complaining. I also spoke to one of his employees after I had to call back, since I was hung up on. It's quite evident that his employees are also dismissive about his actions and I understand that he is in a position of authority. Had the owners customer service been helpful, or kind I would not be complaining. His employees also make excuses for him all the time. I went ahead and filed a complaint with corporate and they let me know his behavior is unacceptable, and that they followed the wrong Return To Sender procedures.Response To UPS Owner's Follow Up on Yelp: I'm sorry you don't understand and refuse to accept responsibility for your disgusting actions. You didn't follow UPS' Return To Sender policies and their costumer service policies. The issue was not the Return To Sender procedures, but how you handled the matter. Had you done your job right, I wouldn't have needed to file my complaint against you with corporate. I've made corporate fully aware of your rude and unprofessional yelling, and the responses you have provided me and other customers both in person and on Yelp. I advise you don't continue to response to me because I will continue to air out how your employee apologized over the phone for your actions, because he could hear you yelling at me and how you hung up. All I asked for was some common decency and since you failed to provide me with that, I've set out to make it a mission to make sure ALL customers who come across you don't have to endure your wrath. It's summer, I have all the time to respond if needed and to continue to make sure you don't keep getting away with mistreating customers. The Downey UPS locations is also fully aware of all the complaints your non-returning customers are making in regards to you and your store. If you have any questions, I suggest you follow up with corporate and their emails.

If your store has "leagues of Scoffers and Mockers", then maybe that's on your store and how you run it. Only bad management would deflect all their shortcomings onto their customers.A bad business would try to circumvent their obligations to paying customers for leaving a bad review. I would absolutely change my review the moment this place proved itself as reliable. There are plenty of other UPS stores with great service that don't have "leagues of Scoffers and Mockers".No jokes here, just truth.

Beware deceptive prices. I have submitted a complaint with LA County. Their prices for services are not what they have down.

Read all the bad reviews and how the owner responds to every one, a lot of unhappy customers.Been here for hours waiting for an important package that was delivered to this address, but was lost by the staff 10 days prior. They tried blaming everyone (the sender, FedEx, and myself), and said that it was very much a possibility that a staff member had stolen it and it was up to God whether I got my package.Update: my package was found, it was at this location and mishandled by staff making it impossible to find in a timely manner (they wanted to stop looking and just have claims take care of it).I was called back to the store by the staff after being harassed by the owner; the customers were suggesting that the police be called on the store owner for her treatment towards me, screaming and making a scene.Very unprofessional and unpredictable are not traits I look for in a UPS store.

This review is in response to the review by Raymond H below. I'm here at this location probably three times a week and I've never received anything short of stellar customer service from this family ran business. Raymond's review is outright false and distorted. The gentleman walked in and was upset because they misplaced an important letter. He was unreasonable, yelling, heckling the staff, and even trying to get other customers to go elsewhere. Unprofessional, out of line, and deserved to be detained. Thank you UPS for always taking care of me.

$5 for one page copy? What a rip off.Edit: it's obvious from my experience and from these review replies that the man working in the store is very petty/childish. Everytime I go in to print something important I go in do what I have to do and leave. This specific day the line was very long and the computer was available with no use. I helped myself to quickly print out some edits from a previous document ( one page ) which took no more than 10 minutes. When I went to pay for my one copy he charges me more than any other time I print one page. I bring this to his attention and he gives me the petty answer "if you would have asked me first we could have discussed the rate." I know the price I did not need to discuss it. He then accused me of printing more (the original documents I needed edited). At this point I was already bothered by both being accused and robbed. The receipt then said my item was charged 2x I needed my document edited and printed asap so I left without double checking first. Very unprofessional for a store owner and for a man his age. It is unfortunate that customer service isn't held to a higher standard in this store and they can just rob people of their money at will just because his ego was hurt. If this comment does anything, may it advise customers to be cautious of being robbed at this store.

DO NOT DROP OFF IMPORTANT ITEMS HERE!!!!!I shipped out important documents from this location and payed for next day delivery during this process there was a gentleman who was very upset with the employees because they had lost his documents… at the time I did not think much of it and felt that it was a one off/unique situation and decided to move forward with sending out my item overnight. 2 weeks later my item has not been shipped out and has been lost at this location I dropped it off at. Employees response to this stressful situation was to lie and to be very rude about the whole situation. Employees lied and said it was not in their control that it was lost in shipping even though it was never sent out which I had confirmed with corporate when filling a claim.Do not send anything important from this location. Nothing will ever bring me back to this location regardless of a simple mistake of the business loosing my package the way they handled the situation once the issue was brought up to them was inappropriate. NO COMPASSION, VERY RUDE AND UNORGANIZED.I feel for the man who lost his documents and now I understand the anger and frustration he was going through I should of went with my gut and ran out when I had the chance!F RATING. NO STARS.
