I called ahead of time to check on ballet folklorico shoes availability. We drove pretty far so I wanted to make sure they had them. The store is on a busy street so street parking is tough. It is pretty tiny so you can easily drive past it and miss it. Once inside it is jam packed with authentic items. She had a variety of shoe sizes and the color we needed. She also has the black Adelita boots. She accepts cards (a small fee) or cash. The owner was helpful, friendly and accommodating. I'll definitely be back for more ballet folklorico items.

Not a great experience. The owner gave us the wrong banners we needed. She also told us that she would be able to get the 12 linen tablecloths we needed and that she would call us the next day. The next day came and went and she never called us. She texted my boyfriend two days later saying she'd have them by next week when we told her we needed it for May 22nd, which obviously it wouldn't be of no use by then.

There's a little bit of Mexico in this little rincon. From the candy to to the pottery - it's genuine. The costumes and the shoes authentic. The yarn is mostly synthetic but she offers a good variety of colors. To me the yarn prices are good - it's much more economic than the big name craft stores. The business owner is a helpful lady. Nice thing about this is I don't have to travel across the border to satisfy my nostalgia. The only thing that would complete my excursion, would be a very local eatery with tacos all pastor and a corn-on-the-cob with a squeeze of lemon and a dash cayenne. Rincon - Can you add corn cobs on a stick?

Imagine my relief when I found that I didn't have to trek my butt to Downtown or El Mercadito in EastLos and fight to find parking. I was in search of a sarape/gabán and thanks to Yelp, I found this place. It's a small shop that is stuffed to the rafters in Mexican apparel for women, men and children, and Mexican wares. I asked for what I needed and they did carry sarapes! I wanted the traditional kind, not the flashy new age kind that I neglect to see on my way. The quality is fantastic. They had so many things! I also bought two head scarfs (velos) that women used to wear when going to mass at church that I'll be giving as gifts. If you need ANYTHING that pertains to Mexican heritage, this Rincon Mexicanito might just have it in stock at a very reasonable price.
