Here is a quote unquote liquor store from the good old days. My very first paying job was as a liquor store clerk. El Rancho has huge selection and helpful friendly staff. Sadly the boss , I learned to my dismay and shock, just recently passed on. What a shock. An Extraordinary, friendly, hard working man always with enough time for a quick chat and smile.

Buyer beware/Caveat Emptor. I checked out this local liquor store for the first time today. Talked to the guy behind the counter and asked if he has Eagle Rare. He tells me the Eagle Rare is $79.95 so I told him to grab that one plus I selected a bottle of Michter's Rye whiskey. When he rings it up and it's over $200 WTF! I asked him how much the eagle rare was and he said $179. I said, "bro you told me 79 not 179." (ER is sold elsewhere in California for as little as $99-$109.99.) Beware these guys are just scalping hard to find bottles of bourbon, and while they do have a good selection, they'll rip you off every chance they get. No prices on the bottles and no receipt at the cash register. Go figure.

I went there after work. Been going there for years. Been purrty decent, just pay attention and get receipt. Good deals. But new worker today asked me if I was gonna move. He don't know me, why would he ask that ? Question. Guy before me in line had 2 32oz corona familiar bottle beers, look nosy at customer before him and what he's buying. Fires burning all around erea, breaking record heat wave & temps. I think all creatures including people are going "BEZERK". WAS SO GLAD 2 GET MY MOONSHINE & BEER & SMOKES 2 relax from another burn a liar HATER up DAY

This is more of a convenience store for soda and chips that is a liquor store. I bought bloody Mary mix and did not look at the date on the bottle. It was expired by two years on the day I bought it and it was a slight brown color which I did not notice in the store. It's dirty and disorganized. With all of this the clerk was nice

They call this street "Junkfood Alley" as there's a Bakers, McD's, Del Taco, Popeyes, Donuts, Chinese, Juan Pollo all on the same 2 block radius. And there are a few liquor stores sprinkled in from Beaumont Ave To Banning. But since day one moving out here now for a year, this is my mom & pops boozer stop. And trust, just cause a place is a small business, there not always polite, prices higher then any other as they don't move quantity, and again mom and pop are not always friendly. Alll of that is the exact opposite here. This family are the kindest, nicest, informative, always willing to to help you if your "balling on a budget" to get the best deal for YOU and not them. Selection is amazing and theres always a dozen (I'd say 2 dozen easily) name brand items on sale and most the time cheaper then anywhere else....And no not well liquor either. Jim Beam & Jack Daniels Bonded handle bottles damn near $20 cheaper then anywhere. And not for a day neither but a good couple months. And anyone doing a yelp EBT search, they accept that as well (for qualifying items of course) And maybe just as a regular but having grown to appreciate the above and beyond customer service, they won't make a face splitting a ebt/cash (food/booze) tab. These are the spots got to keep supporting.
