I bought the dash lights kit. They almost made them correct, wouldn’t quite fit,so I had to grind a little plastic off each one. Then they went in just like the helpful video that was provided.

Gowesty had acrylic tents made to oem size. They realized these tents don’t work because the acrylic doesn’t stretch. Instead of throwing them in the trash they’re selling them on clearance, so they can’t be returned. Making their customers eat the price of their mistake.I feel robbed and taken advantage of.Do the right thing and remove these tents from your website. Stop screwing the people that keep you in business.

Competitive prices but they can't seem to ship an order complete. This is costing me so much time delays it's ridiculous! Nothing like starting a project and then having to wait for parts you already ordered.

Getting the up to date information is critical. on any Vanagon issue, you will find 10 different answers to every problem on the net. Just do yourself a favor, and heed their advice. Some models, like my 85, just have to have parts bypassed. Such as, the air conditioning. I can spend the money to fix it, but it won't work at all after 2 years. Mine is in the rear, and absolutely does not work anyway when repaired. GoWesty will advise, and you should listen. They have never steered me wrong after 40 yrs. mine is good to go for another 40. I have generally always repaired myself, but Now that GoWesty does not have a garage repair service, and for those who live in Southern Cal. Get to know Mesa West German Auto, Newport Beach or Costa Mesa. You won't be sorry with Norm's service and detail. One last thing, DYK, the power of a 1.9 vs 2.1 engine is exactly the same.

Tried calling but couldn’t get through so we went to their storefront but it was closed!! We were finally able to get through to them on the phone and were able to make an order to be picked up in the back of the building within 10mins.

I just finished installing the rebuilt engine in my 89 Westy and decided to bite the bullet and go with the GoWesty EFI system with the hope of having the elusive reliable van. The install was easy with well written and described instructions. The components are beautiful as usual. I had a few issues related to starting it up and a few that were unrelated to the GoWesty equipment. I called GoWesty for some technical advice and spoke with Ben probably ten times over a couple of days. I have to say what a pleasure it was to deal with someone as pleasant, well informed, committed to solving the problem, and patient as he is, in spite of my bone head mistakes. Thank you so much Ben, you are the best. I’m going for a drive.

Had a part shipped wrong. Wrong side door mirror. No big deal, but Mikele made it right in quick fashion. I ended up keeping the wrong mirror and paid for the new with no shipping. They will work with you. I'll be back. Thanks Mikele!

Clarence in customer support is about as helpful as a flat tire. Sure glad I spent thousands of dollars over the past year with these guys and the one time I need support I get this guy.

Stay away from these guys, I ordered for almost $1900 of parts, 1900 dollars!!, had an issue with a $13 part and asked Go Westy to replace it. Their sales guy said their shop says it is impossible that their part failed and basically told me to go figure it out myself. I will be send the complete shipment back ask for a refund and order my parts at Buslab
